A trans-lunar injection is a maneuver designed to send a spacecraft to the Moon. Its first use in a manned mission enabled Apollo 8 to reach Earth's satellite in December 1968.

(A modest track dedicated to Jim Lovell, who passed away on August 7th, 2025, a crew member of four space missions including Apollo 8).

Composed in the wake of urgency, of care, of emotional weight, it is the echo of a moment when everything was done, yet nothing felt resolved.

An atonal, twelve-tone composition, taking some inspiration from the Webern approach to atonal music and just making it very compact. To me that approach legitimately does make the atonal "sound" easier to digest. Bite-sized pieces. Hope you enjoy!
