Born and raised in Newham, East London, British rapper Sam ‘Speeks’ Anderson fell in love with Grime music from a young age. After school Speeks could always be found writing his own lyrics, producing music and recording friends in his own makeshift studio. As he learnt his craft, UK homegrown artists like Kano, Ghetts and Dot Rotten were on heavy rotation and have been significant musical influences on him.

Over the years, Speeks continued to write and perform refining his craft and message which have now come to maturity. Combining raw storytelling with his own reflective outlook, Speeks bears his heart on every track: "I’m no puppet I can guarantee that, what you see is what you get, no strings attached."

Key to Speeks’ music has been childhood friend and collaborator, Thomas 'Pulse Beats’ Pavlopoulos. Life circumstances had put a long term pause on musical collaborations but over the COVID-19 pandemic they reconnected and began to develop something fresh and full of substance in UK Rap. Now they are ready and raring to make a positive impact with their work.

Speeks’ personal life mission has brought him to the North of England, to Oldham, Greater Manchester. Here he continues to make music of substance while working for a local church, engaging people with the good news of Jesus and blessing his local community. Wherever Speeks finds himself, he is determined to love people and change the game for good.
