<p>The dynamic duo Spektre is back and they deliver the goods on MB Elektronics with an excellent full of techno sounds EP, including a solid remix by Hollen. First up is &#8216;Redshift&#8217; and there is no better way to start an EP than this one. A hammering bassline features, broken beats alongside with a melodic synth pattern makes this one a killer. Next on the line is the remix by Hollen &#8216;Wormhole&#8217; and it is another wonderful production that is slightly more moody thanks to the heavy bassline following by upbeat drums, mixed perfectly with melodic twirls. A very beautiful track and a great remix by Hollen. Closing this EP is the original mix on &#8216;Wormhole&#8217;. Intense drum kicks build the track before an absolutely devastating bassline kicks in and drive this track to a pure techno journey. Techno fans must have this EP , it is simple as that. A stunning release from Spektre and MB Elektronics world as well.</p>

Welcomed back onto the label with their Toolroom debut album 'Cyclic Operations', Spektre look set to smash the Techno charts as Filthy Rich and Paul Maddox deliver one of the most anticipated artist albums of 2013. This dynamic duo are widely considered to be one of the best new, up and coming acts of the year gaining support from some of the world's best Techno DJs and producers including Carl Cox, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin & Sven Vath, alongside collaborations with UMEK, Christian Cambas, Miniminds, Subfractal and remixes by artists including Uto Karem, Jon Rundell, Gorge, Nicole Moudaber, Christian Smith and Wehbba.

Returning to Toolroom after their debut Techno banger 'Turbine' featured on the hugely successful Rhythm Distrikt compilation, this prestigious production duo are back with a release which showcases their killer hooks and distinctive sounds alongside haunting vocals and deep, atmospheric tones. 'Cyclic Operations' captures the best of Spektre's unique sound, starting off, delving into the darker side of Techno and finishing leaving the listener with those classic slick, smooth, Techno vibes.

Including 14 tracks and a full-length DJ mix, the album is cleverly divided up by a series of short musical interludes; 'Introduction' with its dark vocals, 'Intersection' with its futuristic, apocalyptic feel and 'Intervention' which is more uplifting and upbeat. The mighty Spektre have teamed up with Subfractal, which is a logical progression since they are both fashioning the same brand of dark, brooding techno.

The aptply titled "Ram Raid" is characterized by it's carefully spaced arrangement, hitting hard where appropriate, yet leaving space for the track to breathe. Apocalyptic synths tear through the audio horizon as the track spirals into a dark hole of intense programming.

Sasha Carassi takes care of the remix and shifts into a head-on collision, going for a more direct approach and it pretty much sounds like a sonar in hell. The layers of loops keep the intensity level high and you've got a package that packs a might punch.

The title track is a beat-heavy production, with a very special vibe to it. As the track unfolds, the element that steals the show is the subtle synth layer in the background: it’s catchy, it’s hauntingly good and essentially the track’s trade mark. The mid-way cut is composed of a mindblowing voice effect and craftily reverberating samples to give way to a powerful finale!

The mighty Spektre bring the darkness to Phobiq as their "Eight Pounds Rapid" slams down with full force.
Brining in the synths from hell, audio wreckage is trampled upon as the pounding drums clear everything in their way and the commanding snares add the Techno flavor as ordered. Eerie atmospherics and pulsing cymbals add to the bleak soundscape.
Roberto strips things down and employs a skippy rhythm section, while a synth stab leads the way and the mist clears up a bit. Mr. Bizz turns the original in to a roller, complete with cyclic percussion and a hyperactive bassline, while retaining the menacing vibe.

Spektre is a project that doesn't need any introduction! British proper techno pioneers! And we are extremely happy to see these guys on board of our label! This time we had an experiment, and tried to make musical collaboration between United Kingdom and Ukraine. We took our heroes' huge hit "Together" released on 1605 earlier and gave chance to Ukrainian producers to remix it!One hundred fifty remixes took their part in competition! And now we have two winners Dub Makers and Klinika! Different styles, energy, mood and completely different sound - best strategy for successful release!Here are some words of Spektre about it: "With over 150 entries into the competition we were hugely pleased with the response we had for the Spektre remix of their huge single on 1605 'Together' The standard was high and it really did showcase just how much strong up and coming talent there is from the Ukraine, a Country that has a thriving electronic music scene. After much deliberation we narrowed it down to our top ten tracks but the two clear winners for us were the remixes from Dub Makers and Klinika. Dub Makers already have an established sound and delivered an tight, acid inspired mix which instantly stood out from the rest of the crowd! And Klinika was a close second who really took the track towards the darker and more big room techno sound which we love and is very much in line with our own label output on Respekt!"Of course this release could not see the world without the remix of Spartaque. He tried to push up the energy of original with help of sequenced baselines pumping sub synths. Huge risers in breakdowns and wild fills with exploding beats. As result - amazing dance floor reaction!

Spektre and Christian Cambas team up once again to bring their "Drums Of Navarone" to Kombination Research.The rhythm section of the original mix grinds away in style, while old school chords add some anthemic flavor. The whole affair is activated by the pulsing sub bass that never lets up, and the drums are, indeed, in effect.The Advent & Industrialyzer remix is a stomping rendition, stripping things down to the bare essentials. Things get even more monstrous with stab manipulation and custom sonic artillery from the two legends.

This takes my 3 hour set and compresses it into a 2 hour fragmented interpretation.
Also aired on BBC RADIO 1 on September 1, 2012.

A series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.

KV series was a production line of a number of heavy tanks Soviet origin. They were baptized in the name of defense and political commissar Kliment Voroshilov. At the time of the invasion of the Soviet Union by Germany in WWII, the KV tanks were better protected from the time, but only accounted for 2% 1 of total Soviet armored forces on 22 June 1941. His initial success in stopping and decimate panzer forces earned him the nickname of "kill Nazis."
