Insomniac Discovery Project winning duo Louis Vivet is following up their Escape From Wonderland performance with the release of their debut single, featuring vocals from Gavrielle and Nick Goldston. This cover of the 90’s smash hit is released on November 25th, in anticipation of the duo’s forthcoming EP on Prep School Recordings.

“We decided to cover this song because we thought it was something that fans would connect with. A lot of the stuff coming out these days doesn’t have that emotional component that really resonates with fans. We wanted to create a song that seems happy but underneath, there’s an underlying sadness...we enjoy creating art that carries with two different meanings. And when we first linked up with Gavrielle (via YouTube, funny enough) we started talking about our favorite childhood songs, and we all universally named ‘Save Tonight’ by Eagle Eye Cherry. So we decided to give it a modern re-interpretation and infuse it with different elements from our favorite producers like Kygo, EDX, and Christian Karlsson of Galantis.”

I think it's fun to sometimes get out of my comfort zone and create something completely different. I would normally not upload this on my public Soundcloud, but I'm just too curious about your reactions not to! 

I had lots of fun creating this "movie soundtrack" type of song, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Swirling Mix - Neoclassical Strings

Through sound, emotion seeks new dimensions, not as an escape from reality but rather in a search for the image of a new reality. Music that creates emotion, is like a wind that purifies, rendering visible all the obstacles and divisions. It is rather like a piercing arrow that alerts the parts of our mind we do not normally go to, in our daily lives. It opens up unknown and obscure landscapes, like a ray of light that filtering into a dark room, banishes the darkness and leaves nothing to hinder vision. 
”Canone degli Spazi” is about the sound that journeys in all directions, the sound that travels through endless space - through the outer world and the inner space - through the unconscious and the senses. 
When I play with precision and with specific intent, the emotion that rises inside of me is the mirror of the one that arises in the person who is listening - it provokes a sense of union and communion with those sharing the same moment. Music becomes a vehicle of an objective feeling, which is almost the same for most people. Similarly, if I am not One with the sound and my intention is not clear, the same notes played carelessly are empty - they lose their power and their intensity. The level of clarity of my expression depends on what I can make arise inside of me. When that happens, the inner nature of the melodies that are being played spreads out into space, into the air, into the earth and out to the whole atmosphere. A real spell takes place between the performer and his public, creating a magical aura of deep harmony and sharing. This is the wonder of a sound that has come from a long time ago, through myths and mythology, and returns us to the essence of Music, that most supreme of Arts. 
I composed “Canone degli Spazi” around essential elements - the harmony of the triads, the melodic repetition and the cycles that follow the orbits of the planets and the structure of harmonics - the very same fundamental rules that Pythagoras followed to make the laws of the Universe coincide. Sound can help us to realize that our inner space is as vast as our outer space and that in reality there is no difference between them. Sound travels through walls - the walls of the mind too – transcending both time and space. 

Canone degli spazi - Michael

Spheriá was a German ambient music and sound design project, founded in late December 2013. It started off as an alias for exploring different styles of music production. Part of the soundscapes were combined with recorded instruments, voices and sounds from different environments.

During 2014 and the upcoming years, Spheriá published several recordings and also performed at small live sessions with other musicians. A first hiatus took place in 2015. The project resumed in late 2016 and continued at first. After another break had occured in 2024, the project permanently concluded in late March 2025.

Other projects that Spheriá was active with were "Háiku" and "Natura Silentia", with the latter focusing more on fictional places in nature, combined with writing from imagination.

Hello! I'm Snipewing, a fan of most any form of music. I specialize in instrumental music ranging from orchestral to classical for marching and concert band, with solo instrumentals and small instrumental groups in between. I plan on getting familiar with electronic music of all genres and playing some of the Alto Saxophone parts for my music myself once I perfect the playing of it. I use the program Musescore for production of my scores and instrumental music (and sadly it doesn't have the most realistic sounds to the instruments), and am testing the Finale Notepad until I have the money to buy the full version of Finale.
