Dirty Epic welcomes aboard its resident @thefifthstigma for its twelfth episode of Amplify Series.

American born, now living in Paris, France, The Fifth Stigma is an esoteric musical project.

Tired with the direction of contemporary techno, The Fifth Stigma aims to craft a slow, heavy, and raw metallic techno, influenced by history, emotions and obscure world music, driven by a blend of several genres in times where everything seems to go faster and look alike.

Production wise, he refuses to conform to one genre, always exploring new sounds from different horizons, from liturgical to techno, from noise to punk electronics like body music, transporting you in landscapes of desolation and agony with EPs released on cassettes and CDs.

His works received support from many influent artists all over the world and is played by renowed artists such as Rommek, Tommy Four Seven and French duo Imperial Black Unit.

Amplify Series 012 - The Fifth Stigma

The Fifth Stigma is an industrial and esoteric project, exploring the realms of history and wonders from forgotten eras through music.

At the opposite direction of contemporary techno, The Fifth Stigma aims to craft a slow, heavy and raw metallic techno, influenced by history, emotions and obscure world music, driven by a blend of several genres in times where everything seems to go faster, look alike and tends to be too easily accessible and instantly consumed. 

Production wise, he forges intimate pieces, creating sonic atmospheres filled with fantastical imagery, conjured by the artist's imagination, which have a compellingly oneiric quality, whilst always exploring new sounds from different horizons, from liturgical to techno, from noise to punk electronics.
 He recently joined as resident DJ Los Angeles’ illustrious warehouse raves curator Dirty Epic, the collective behind the Compound series and Re/Form festival. 
 The Fifth Stigma’s selections flourishes of meticulously sorted dance-floor tracks ranging from techno to EBM to less known sub-genres, journeying across the wide scope of electronic music.

Dirty Epic welcomes Los Angeles label @venaeform for a special monthly takeover of its Amplify Series episode. 
Veldt inaugurates the special takeover.

Influenced heavily by the metallic and industrial sounds that surround him at his day job, Veldt (HANDS, Industrial Detroit) channels those sounds into a rhythmic chamber, filled with electronics that hint to influences from the Rhythmic Noise, Industrial, and Techno strata. While residing in Detroit, Michigan, Veldt works closely and in partnership with Industrial Detroit. Interrupting new circuits with a purpose.
 
This performance was recorded live at Industrial Detroit’s yearly event held during Detroit’s 2023 Movement Festival weekend. Veldt uses a DAW-Less setup of Modular and Elektron gear.
 
Veldt’s next release will be on Venaeform Records with a release date of August 28, 2023. It will be available on vinyl and digital format at https://venaeform.com/

Amplify Series 069 - Veldt (Live at Industrial Detroit) [Venaeform Special]

Dirty Epic welcomes Los Angeles label @venaeform for a special monthly takeover of its Amplify Series episode. 
Continuing the special takeover with @spheric-recordings

Spheric is a DJ, producer and performer in Los Angeles. Driven by his intuitive music exploration & selections, he translates his experiential thoughts, emotions and visions of an esoteric future within forgotten worlds. He often has in mind to evoke the same emotions when he first heard cutting edge sounds during the post punk era and the early underground warehouse parties in LA.

For over 5 years, Spheric is one of the resident DJs at Distorted Disco in DTLA playing forward-thinking music & broadening the sonic horizons of LA’s scene. Still actively spinning at various underground events, he has played alongside acclaimed acts such as Rhys Fulber, AXKAN, Monya, WarinD, ESA, IV Horsemen,
Cervello Elettronico, Sleep Clinic & Veldt.

In 2019, he resumed producing under several unique aliases - Temaut, Sullen Fate, & Ixïan with diverse releases on Venaeform Records, Brutal Forms, Omen Recordings, Obseqvivm Records, & RND.R. 
He incorporates a hybrid set-up of modular, hardware, and virtual systems to create his own signature palettes of sound. As in his DJing, he prefers a different path less taken with his productions and live performances.

In late 2022, Spheric commenced a new imprint out of Los Angeles called Venaeform Records. The vinyl and digital media label will be focusing on aberrations of techno, ebm and other forward thinking electronic genres.
