'Glimmers', by Spheruleus, is the first full length album to be released on Rusted Tone Recordings. The album also marks the first cassette release for Harry Towell as Spheruleus, who is regarded as a prolific artist within the contemporary ambient and experimental music scenes. 

'Glimmers' is conceptually about light; the affordances of day and night, as well as the metaphorical light and darkness of human experience. The album reveals deep moments of sadness and melancholy, but importantly carries a crucial message of hope and optimism. Rather than creating "Glimmers' as a reflection of Towell's own hardships, the album promotes the need for undying hope and positivity, which the musician follows: 

"The idea is that when daylight ends, there used to be nothing but darkness - but mankind brought light to this through the discovery of fire and the invention of the lightbulb. Light encourages us to take a closer look and face our fears head on."

Spheruleus is Lincolnshire, UK based artist Harry Towell. His work has been released on labels such as Under The Spire, Hibernate, Home Normal and Time Released Sound. The Spheruleus sound is produced using acoustic instruments, manipulated into timeworn, rustic and melancholy compositions.

He also runs the Audio Gourmet netlabel and Tessellate Recordings.

Formerly recording under the name of Josco.
