This arrangement of Ravel's Bolero for Piano and Clarinet is by Bernard Dewagtere http://www.free-scores.com/download-sheet-music.php?pdf=31458. I have coded it for Sonic Pi, using the inbuilt Piano synth and a single external Clarinet sample from the Sonatina Symphonic Library. On a Mac at least, the program is too long for the constraints set by Sonic Pi's use of UDP for communication, so I have split it into two files which are linked using Sonic Pi's cue and sync commands, so that they play seamlessly one after the other. I spent some time analysing the music so that bars which were repeated only had to be coded once. Three parts were used, one for the left hand bass, one for the right hand and one for the clarinet tune, which also required a different procedure to play the notes because it was sample based. An extra part was added for the penultimate 2 bars where the left hand piano part was too complex to play as a single part.
