Our next guest in the Aphid Records Monthly Series is none other than the Moon of Aphid Records, UK psytrance producer, DJ and label manager, Jules Hamer. About the Aphid adventure so far, the explorations lying ahead, and the distinctly British psychedelic twist topped with a prog-psychedelic-peaked exclusive mix right after the interview. Aphid Moon is the solo project of UK Psy-Trance producer Jules Hamer started in the mid nineties with early releases coming out on Interstella Records as well as Dream Creation’s ‘Sound of Freedom’ compilation in 1997 and 1998 respectively. He cut his teeth promoting a small psychedelic night during the heady days of the first wave of Psychedelic trance in the UK, Djing and performing live in various London squats, clubs and outdoor parties. Absorbing various Stimuli along the way. In 2001 he had a breakthrough track with ‘A lot of Radio’ on Flying Rhino Records with things really taking off from that point. Since then releasing on virtually all the major British psy-trance labels (Tip, Twisted, Dragonfly, Alchemy, Atomic and Nano Records) as well a variety of exotic international labels. He has released three solo albums and one collaborative album to date: 'High Diver' released on Dragonfly Records in 2003 a deep night time sound, 'Global Culture' in 2005 a more new full-on incarnation on Nano Records and as the AMD project 'Big Fish' a collaboration with producer Dick Trevor which became an instant trance classic also on Nano Records. Various experimental collaborations swiftly followed with the likes of Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Ans and Lucas. Such as 'We Are your Friends' and the Queens Park Derangers’ excellent ‘Create a Hippy’ released on TIP in 2006. In 2010 his third solo album 'Super Collider' came out on his own label 'Aphid Records' sealing his reputation as a cutting edge producer with an original and evolving deep and sometimes moody yet unmistakably British psychedelic sound. He has been rocking out digital EP's ever since. This November marking the eleventh EP release on Aphid Records. His unique style has bought him considerable international recognition. With regular party and festival bookings throughout the globe in India, Thailand, Japan, Israel, S.A., Brazil, South and Central America, U.S.A., Australia, Russia, Europe and the U.K. This year he has been busy as ever in the studio. With a healthy release schedule: 'Monolith' on the Matreia Festival compilation, 'Trapezium' on Kundalini Records’ 'Manana's Bananas' and a full-on night time four track EP with plenty of attitude and surprises "Outpost" with heavy weight psy-trance dj/producer Paul Taylor on Aphid Records. Hurtling down the psychedelic vortex comes the next Aphid Records ‘Middle Kingdom EP’ out in November on Aphid Records featuring collaborations with Atoned Splendor and Nirmal. Plus hot off the press soon to be released Aphid Moon – 'Cosmic Order' on Tristan’s new UK Trance comp on Nano Records.

In celebration of the first annual International Yoga Day, Wai Lana, world-renowned yoga teacher and host of the long-running public television series, Wai Lana Yoga, has just released her new “Namaste” music video.

Following the United Nation’s recent declaration of June 21st as “International Yoga Day,” India’s Prime Minister called yoga an invaluable gift, a holistic approach to health and well-being. Wai Lana couldn’t agree more, saying, “Yoga is a complete way of life where every aspect of our existence comes together in harmony, surcharged with deep meaning and purpose.”

To celebrate this festive day and help introduce people around the world to the many benefits of yoga, Wai Lana has produced her “Namaste” music video “to convey the message that the yoga lifestyle is a simple yet powerful foundation for improving our lives, recognizing that we are all brothers and sisters, part of one big family, and making this world a better place.”

“Namaste” is a traditional greeting that is often heard in the yoga community. It is usually offered with folded hands, lowered eyes, and a bowed head.Wai Lana says she wrote the song to help us “remember one of yoga’s greatest lessons—humility and respect for others.”

Wai Lana’s “Namaste” song was performed with beautiful, creative, and heartfelt participation by people all over the world. It was shot on location in the US, Canada, Mexico, Philippines, India, China, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, and Poland. “Namaste” is very uplifting and, according to Wai Lana, “symbolizes the unity and harmony that we can achieve through yoga.”

Wai Lana asks each of us to, “Be inspired by Yoga Day to unite together, not only as a nation, but globally, so that we can have more harmony and peace in our lives.” This message is joyfully conveyed in the “Namaste” song with such lyrics as: “We are the children of the world / And it’s up to us to take care of each other/ We are all a part of one big family / We are brothers and sisters don’t you see / Namaste! Namaste! Namaste!”.

 It is Wai Lana’s sincere hope that everyone will  watch, enjoy and be inspired by “Namaste” not just on Yoga Day but every day, and share this video and the deeper meaning of yoga with their friends  and family.

Spinal Fusion is the stage name of Bilas Rajderkar, a psytrance artist, producer, and sound engineer hailing from India. Bilas discovered his passion for music at a young age and began experimenting with electronic sounds when he was just 17 years old.

Having performed at major festivals around the globe i.e. Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Mandallah Festival, Flor Da Vida Festival, Terratronic Festival, E trip Festival, Soulvision Festival, Shambhala Festival, Respect Festival, Progressive Festival by DM7, Elementare Festival, The Experience Festival, Freq’s of nature Festival, Hilltop Festival, Shankra Festival, F.L.O.W Festival, S.U.N Festival, Blackmoon Festival, Antaris Project, Infected Guitars, Respect Arte e Cultura, are some festivals he has been invited to perform, which is a clear testament to Spinal Fusion's talent and the quality of his music. It's also worth noting that he has performed at various events in his home country of India, which is a vibrant and growing market for psytrance music.
