Drift Deeper have been quiet for a few months. Seems this year we can never catch up. We have been hard at work putting together our Slow Living Volume 2 compilation, which I am happy to say is nearly complete. We just had enough time to squeeze in one more release before the compilation. It is a 4 track EP from 4 artists, some names you may know but some you will not. At Drift Deeper we are always looking for new talented artists who we feel need a voice.

The EP title is a recent experience for me, the wordings stuck in my head so I thought it would make a good title for the EP. Ironic that they didn't disappear from my head. So thankyou to the person who told me these words, I hope they do not disappear for too long though.

In Limbo

The mysterious tracks led to the place where all the exoplanetary bohemians gathered. The signs, shimmering with multicolored diodes, rattled in unison with the rhythm of the dancefloor. The vibration seeped out from behind the doors and was noticeably felt in the chest area. The entrance to the club was securely guarded.

– Do you see this huge caterpillar? As soon as he turns away, I'll give the signal. Stay tuned.
– Yeah, they only serve in special detachments. On Alien-TV, they said that their hearing was not very good — Cat was in slight confusion and tried to calm himself with reasoning.
– We are waiting, a little more… Go ahead!

The surprise effect failed immediately after the astonished face of security appeared in the sights. Everyone froze, looking at each other in confusion.

– Hey, where are you going?
– Melvin...?! My friend, I can't believe my eyes!!! Who would have thought...
– You know. After leaving the Aerospace Corporation, I'm wary of harassment. And you, I see, obviously have not come to dance.
– Hats off, you're a master of conspiracy, but... We have almost fried you!

Melvin remained silent for a long time. The moment has come to reveal a lot of unexpected details.

Baumfreund - Kapillar Ep - Tiefenrausch EP 002 

A new release out of the dubness of the musical ocean. Tiefenrausch presents the „Kapilar EP“ by „Baumfreund“, a well respected musician, co-founder of the record label „60Hertz“ and good friend of the Tiefenrausch family.
Baumfreund swims with the powerful streams of Dub Techno and combines nice, warm and enlightening chords with his playful way to create moments you totally sink into. In his own way he also lays his hands on the first release by "Session Restore" on the label "Rauh" - Warsaw Avenue.
All in all Baumfreund made an EP that finds it's place in the peaktime as well as the dreamy moments just after sunrise, a wonderful deep piece of vinyl.

Fluxion's Ripple Effect is the film score for a non-existing motion picture. This 9-track album is the result of experimentation and the combination of the producer's two most cherished art forms: electronic music and score music. Ironically the two worlds rarely seem to meet, despite the fact that score music has adopted a looser form in order to better adapt to film accompaniment, bringing it closer to electronic music which attempts to contradict form or shed it altogether. Fluxion felt the need to bring these two musical forms into dialogue with each other, lending structure to electronic and deconstructing score music to create a malleable and expressive hybrid. The album's production took two years from its original conception for the subliminal story to unfold into the completed product. Fluxion wanted to say as much as possible through the music, leaving the visuals as a blank canvas for the listener to create their own story. In the end, the goal is to give each member of the audience a unique audiovisual experience based on their own perception and interpretation

Three dub Musketeers, nobly animating the ubiquitous flow of reverberations, skillfully fence with micro-textures. Desolated melancholy and dotted rhythm emphasize the formlessness of ambient structures, causing emotional restraint.

The limited edition record by Vincent Raude (Upwellings), a French cultivator of deep-sea dub techno streams, comes from the bowels of analog synthesizers. Its sound makes sense and steadily penetrates into the auditory range, expressing the interactive-spatial evolution of music.

Peter Fanai (Basicnoise), a lover of subtle dubby jams, producing from late 90s and consistent, methodical electronic pedant from Sydney Kyryl Polozyuk (Kooscha) made a vinyl contribution.

One could be deeply disappointed due to ones high expectations. Art can be referred to some ideals, while people are never perfect.

Whether it is red sunset going below the horizon, or whether it is space satellite flight so far from the visible area.

Only later changes impact can be observed. Most often it is achieved by little but daily work. This is the way how stars are forming and planets are moving. The difference is how much time does it need to see the tangible result.

The Universe possibly wouldn't have any sense if the space wasn't permeated by stardust. Its particles are in motion for millions of years conceiving nebulas, star systems and galaxies which are eventually going to return to their initial state.

Everything around is weaved from the same star matter, first creating and then destroying. And everything cycles and repeats again and again.

This is the inevitability, the law of existence.

We only get to observe.

With his playful Dubtechno tracks he presents a strongly convincing EP on the label.
Winter Solstice, warped chords, epic dubbyness and a hint of strings makes this piece a true journey through winter landscapes. Space Scan, pumping beats, rich chords and a fluffy groove makes you experience the depth of this EP. And last but not least Reminiscient: calm, decelerated, relxaxed dub that one bitterly makes aware that this journey might end at some point.

Winter Solstice, wabernde Chords unglaubliche Dubness und ein Tupfer Strings machen diesen Tack zu einer wahren Winterreise.
