Volcanic Pinnacles are a Portland duo that creates dense clouds of ambient, melodic, and grooving sound. Drawing inspiration from the likes of spiritual jazz (Pharoah Sanders, John Coltrane) as well as avant garde and post rock pioneers (Can, Colin Stetson, Do Make Say Think), the duo bridges the gap between free jazz, post rock, psychedelic rock, and world rhythms. Saxophone player Tony Mowe utilizes electronics to push his instrument into innovative territory, creating a deep droning wave of melody, while drummer Mark Musselman sculpts the sound into shifting polyrhythmic layers. Volcanic Pinnacles is based in St. Johns.

Cherishing spontaneity & live performance recordings, many Misled Bayonets releases take the form of intimate & oft-improvised single-take sessions. Misled Bayonets adopts an unorthodox approach to song-writing by collaborating and recording in parallel with a rotating roster of local musicians and vocalists. 

Misled Bayonets is the brain child of Portland OR, based deaf musician Myles de Bastion who also is the founder and Director of CymaSpace; a non-profit performance and recording arts space that aims to bridge the divide between the deaf and music worlds.

Daniel Riddle started recording, performing and producing music under the name King Black Acid from a very early age. The first set of bedroom studio recordings were released in the late 1980's. Each album is a different sound and often different musicians joining him in the studio and on the stage. King Black Acid has made music for: The Mothman Prophecies motion picture soundtrack, UnderWorld III Rise Of The Lycans, CSI Miami, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, MTV's Road Rules and The Real World, Dream With Fishes, Do Me A Favor, WitchBlade, CNN Sports, Highway and many other tv shows, films and extreme sports videos. When he is not working under the name King Black Acid, Daniel is recording, writing and producing music for film and television in his Mazinga Studio. Daniel also records and produces quite a few bands and solo artists. Daniel has played in bands with such musicians as John Taylor from Duran Duran, Martin Atkins from PIL, Killing Joke, NIN. Daniel has shared the stage with such acts as: Nirvana, Elliott Smith, Low, Pigface, Gwar, Caspar Brotzmann, Danzig, Faith No More, Spectrum, Moby and many others. 

King Black Acid is currently working on a new album with a radically different sound that ventures deep into the dream life of each song.
