Something I think about fairly often is how turbulent life can be when it comes to all sorts of things, especially friendships. I find myself recollecting on past friendships that didn't last, new friendships I pray will last, and old friends who have been with me for most of my life. As a young adult, it's sometimes hard to come to terms with the fact that many of the friends I've grown to love will no doubt move on to do great things in all sorts of great places, and that I may not get to be alongside them when they do. This song is the embodiment of that feeling.
