This Bom Shanka episode brings you PIEMAN and his "Lost in the Ladies Toilets" mix. Pieman is a core member of the legendary Tribe of Frog in Bristol and label manager of Broken Records, and is also signed to Bom Shanka. He has been pretending to play music since he got lost in the now famous Tesco "Ladies Toilets" incident and somehow gave birth to a typewriter during a party last year during lockdown. With a very "speshul" feel, his sets can be described as Maximal PsychedelicTrashPopDiscoFilth with dollops of full fat ice cream and wafers of random audio for good measure. He recently released his first compilation on Bom Shanka called "Double Strength Placebo" which came out when no-one was looking to maintain anonymity, and is frankly to be avoided unless you like music. For the future, Broken Records parties are going from strength to strength with its genre defying attitude to music and this year Tribe of Frog will be celebrating our 22nd birthday with a 6 room multi genre party! Morphing and adapting every year, this year he will be trying to focus on coffee toothpaste and custard pies.

This is a live recording of my multi-genre experimental early morning DJ set at the alternative stage of a beautiful gathering called Celebration of Life and Happiness. I played for the first time after 3 years of break in mixing and playing music. Mixing-wise I learned a lot and not everything went as planned, but every single track I chose to this selection are music that I love, music that has moved me in many ways and that represent energy I never want to give up on. Spiral Trax blew everyone's minds wide open when we released this BOMB of an album back in 2000. The world is still recovering from the sensation of this awesome contribution to the musical genre of Goa Psytrance. We are excited to bring this amazing batch of tunes to the new generation for all to enjoy.

Sweden was introduced to a new type of dance music brought back from the golden beaches of Goa, India by an adventurous group of friends. Parties were held deep in the mystic forests during summer and attracted a fresh new crowd, enthusiastic for these innovative sounds. Among this crowd were two freshly graduated computer engineers who were struck with a profound fascination for this new music.

This enchantment led to the inception of the now infamous musical unit 'Logic Bomb', formed by Jonas Pettersson and Johan Krafft, in 1998. They released their highly thought debut album 'Headware', produced together with fellow Swede, Jonas Bergvall, on Spiral Trax in the year of 2000. Following up on the phenomenal success of 'Headware', their second album 'Unlimited' was released on leading English label TIP World in 2002. After years of silence, things were cooking once again in the bomb-lab, utilizing their highest quality, bleeding edge, digital technology married with the finest analog circuitry of the past they have crafted an album that was both classic and contemporary for that time. Logic Bomb were set to blow up the scene in 2007.

Now when their 4th album is out - The Swedish boys are yet again ready to head out on the road... get prepared!!
