A precursor to Astral Projection, SFX (abbreviation of sound effects), was formed in Israel in 1989 and originally consisted of Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter. They released a hit single in 1991 named Monster Mania, which prompted them to start working on an album. Work was halted when they decided to travel to New York and try their luck there. While Avi soon went back home, Lior stayed in the USA and in 1992 released the single JBIE. In 1993, with Lior still in the US, Avi teamed up with Yaniv Haviv and Guy Sabbag and they released the single Another World. In early 1994, Lior returned to Israel to work on his own material with the rest of the members under their new label Trust in Trance. Their album Trust in Trance 2 reached number two on Israel best selling album chart.[3] After this release, Guy decided to leave the group and the remaining members eventually changed their name to Astral Projection. In 1995 they opened their own professional sound studio.[4]
They have produced nine albums, some of them reaching positions on best selling album charts abroad.[5] The most recent album is 'Ten' which was released in 2004. Astral Projection have not released an album since 2004, though they have released several singles since then.
Astral Projection's most well known tracks include hits such as “Kabalah”, “People Can Fly”, “Mahadeva” and “Dancing Galaxy” to name but a few.
Astral Projection's tracks “Open Society”, “The Prophecy”, "One" and "Strange World" were greeted enthusiastically by Goa and Psychedelic trance fans. The release of their EP Open Society was pushed back first from January 2008 to September 2008, then from September 2008 to simply "2009", and then from 2009 to simply "2010". After the September 2008 delay, Astral Projection's website attributed this to a dispute with B.N.E., the label which they originally had agreed to release the album. The EP was finally released by Trust in Trance Records on September 7, 2010.[6]
On February 10, 2010, the New Astral Store opened on Astral Projection's website, making virtually all of their music available for a download fee in mp3 or wav format.
Their new EP, One, was released June 12, 2012 on TIP Records.

In 2011, due some legal issues, they are forced to change their project name in Spirit Architect. Today, the Spirit Architect project is a proud member of the Ovnimoon Records family.  Making music. It’s about challenging your brain, becoming complex, and being complex. It’s really like architectural work. You must map out your blue prints before you build; we map out our beats and then build. It's a complex process. Their first experiences with writing and producing music goes back to 2003. After many years of experimentation and graduating as sound engineers they were ready to let the world listen to their excellent productions. Many well received releases followed at Ovnimoon, BMSS and Geomagnetic Records. By the end of 2012 they got noticed and signed by Dacru Records to release their debut full album with this Belgian label soon.

Spiral Trax and world renown Slovene DJane Gaby combine magical energies to present the 4th and magical chapter of the much loved progressive psychedelic trance series HEALING LIGHTS. This episode is the brightest shining journey yet, created to touch many hearts and remind everyone about the beauty in us and in the world and to still believe there is hope for even more better days on this amazing planet we live on, as always resonating the message of harmony. This episode presents a well-balanced line up including some very well established producers as well as the cream of the new crop of new comers. Starting out with a heartfelt audio meditational message from Gaby and Suduaya we are introduced to the theme. With Soulearth and Dream Surface kicking it up a notch the door is open. Now Shogan will free your mind while Norma Project conveys a message of Hope. Ascent climbs higher with Rise & Shine. While Sonic Wave Control is beyond the reach of some with Out Of Touch. E-Mov and Sonic Elysium keep it going with Inertia. Mind Lab (aka Alchemix) launches us into Space, while Tat feels the Vibration. Twin Sonic orbits high Out Of Sight. And finally the smooth returns us to the photonic particles we were manifested from with Macaw – Lightwaves. The main intention was to unite amazing brilliant artists and create a beautiful journey and message coded in the medium of music, where you could feel the positive energy and love through the sound. In July 2007 she released her first compilation “HEALING LIGHTS. The aim was to create a musical journey with positive messages behind them. 2011 the second HEALING LIGHTS was born, after a fantastic feedback of the first. It was created as a charity CD to support children in need. At the end of 2014 HEALING LIGHTS 3 manifested with another blissful music journey from progressive to melodic Psytrance!
