I made it in Oregon this April on Bicycle Day when I was locked in a studio overnight, alone with a piano, some microphones, my laptop, and some monitors I can't afford. Had a lot of fun reaching inside that instrument and playing with the strings. Made a lot of the percussion by tapping on the wooden casing, too.

I hope it tickles your Third Ear.

Alex booked me for a gig on the Isle of Wight a few years back and was one of the first people to book me as Bad Tango. The dude is an absolute legend and his music reflects that, so when he sent me his track 'Meaning' around Christmas of last year I jumped at the chance to remix it! I haven't had this much fun with a remix since 'Welcome To The Future' by Too Dusty. The parts were simply brilliant and as a result the ideas flowed <3

Vicious Cactus is Vincent T.’s psychedelic music project created in 2015.
This projects brings together several cultures : Techno, Dark Progressive Trance and Hip-Hop / Bass Music.

Born in the Northeast of France, at the border between France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, Vincent discovers a taste for electronic music while attending to a concert of Noisia, the pioneer of Drum & Bass, at a festival in Nancy.

In 2005, Vincent receives his first machines. A synthesizer and a Korg Electribe drum machine. His first step in musical creation is inspired in its composition by DnB. Then, in 2008 comes his first performance at the end of year party of the Art high school.

In 2011, Vincent starts to get into mixing, making mostly DnB. He tackles Progressive Trance in 2012, shortly before the creation of the “ Namek Sound RAV’olution “ crew, where he acts as vice-president. The Crew, coupled with a Sound System, is centered around psychedelic culture.

In 2015, Vincent starts computer-assisted music production. Some months later, Insonitus Records offers him to join the England-based label. Since then, Vincent has installed his acoustically-treated studio, and played his Dark-Prog project thirty times. 5 releases these three last years, including the one for Hadra Festival, where Vicious Cactus is invited to play at the 2018 edition. Lucky enough to have been able to extend his performances beyond the great East of France, to Luxembourg, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland.

Vincent created his own style, with a psychedelic and organic feel. Having diverse influences from around the musical world, he gets you introduced to his Universe, mixing fat, groovy rhythms to mental and psychic sonorities while still hinting at pre-techno music.

Commitment demands that you lose your eyes, lose your mind, lose your reason, your logic, your intelligence, your consciousness. It is almost a living death. 
Never begin anything with commitment. But such is the mystery of life. Begin everything with spontaneity, with natural awareness, with no commitment for anything, but always ready and open and available to anything new that you come across on the path. Only a spontaneous lifestyle can lead you to your authentic being.

And this is the miracle: that once spontaneous living has led you to clarity of vision, to purity of intelligence – has destroyed all the darkness of your soul and has made everything light within you – then spontaneousness itself becomes commitment.

But it is not being imposed from outside, it is a growth within yourself. It is your experience to which you are committed; it is your understanding to which you are committed. You are committed to your own eyes, to your own consciousness, to your own intelligence, to your own experience.

This commitment has a beauty and an aliveness.

It is spontaneity becoming mature.

Spontaneity was like a child; commitment is maturity, crystallization. Just as nobody can start from the middle of life, or from the end of life – everybody has to start from the childhood. Although every childhood will reach old age, and every birth will reach death…but nobody can begin with death. And a life that has been lived with joy and dance and love – its crescendo, the death, will not be dark. It will not be an end of something but a new beginning, a new beginning of a higher spontaneity on another plane.

But religions have deceived humanity in such cunning ways. And unless you are very alert, it is difficult to understand in what ways they have deceived you. Spontaneity and commitment are two poles of the same energy, but there is one commitment – which is imposed from outside, which has not come as a flowering of your own spontaneity – that is a false commitment: your being a Christian, or a Hindu, or a Mohammedan, or a Jew is a false commitment. It has not grown within you, you have not lived up to it. It is not a maturity of your own consciousness, not a crystallization of your being, but something imposed from above by others.

It has no roots within you. That’s why the whole world is full of religious people but there seems to be no religiousness anywhere. No religious values blossom, but just the opposite – humanity lives on an almost subhuman level.

Start from spontaneity. But no tradition, no culture, no civilization, will allow it, because they can control only dead people. And they can control through commitment.

Coming from a French/Indian/Caribbean family, Cosmic Dust aka Damien Gallau was born in 1985 in France, he has always been passionate by music.
At the age of 16, he was playing Rock with different bands and projects. His first performance was as a singer, then he was performing as a guitar player for Punk Rock shows.
In 2007, he started to travel around the world, interested by indigenous music, culture and gatherings…
Asia, Australia, US, South America, Europe…Then he went to Osaka city in Japan, where he started his Cosmic Dust project at the 'Wana Bar'.
He also started performing as Hitech DJ, first in the clubs in Osaka, then to Singapore, Malaysia… 

In 2016 he encountered the chillout/psybient/downtempo world and a year later, he was performing a down-tempo set for the tribe at Atman Festival (Sri Lanka).
During the years 2017-2018 he was traveling to Taiwan, this time blasting Psytrance in Taipei clubs and outdoor festival like Miracle, Earthfest Revolution.

In 2018 he came for the first time in Europe as a DJ and performer for the Shankra festival (Swiss), Seed of Freedom (Portugal), Infected festival (Portugal), Psybertech (Portugal), Suti festival (Portugal), Terra gathering (Portugal)  […]

In 2019 he came back to his roots at Atman Festival in Sri Lanka
and played a lot in Thailand, Cambodia and Japan… He also got invited to play at UV bar in GOA .

Damien is also a visionary artist, making lots of artwork and design for psychedelic clothing, tapestries, etc.
