Next up on our podcast series is Spitzhacke founder & curator himself, hailing all the way from Germany: PAROXYZM

Paroxyzm – the unpronounceable name, that stands for a sudden and powerful expression of a strong feeling, especially one that you can’t control – finds his inspiration in the hard and fast of the rave scene. With his hard and deep sound, he moves with a blistering tempo through different genres, melting them together. 

Drawing mainly from techno to rave, hardcore and trance, he combines elements of the 90s old school with the current new school. Pace and power are his keywords, delivering eerie, cathartic sounds with hard kicks, daggering synth stabs and rolling snares. Get ready for a galloping mine-ride undergrounds with tireless energy and intensity.

Warsaw based DJ and co-founder of Tupot Collective.

Mainly oscillates around psychedelic varieties of electronic music, such as Psytrance and Psychill/Chillgressive. 
The elements connecting most of the sets is a deep resonant, rib-breaking bass, a large dose of psychedelia, a lot of oriental samples and long ecstatic build-ups.
He also occasionally romances with melodic house and oriental/ethno.

Horizons is a French project that aims to promote emerging artists from the techno scene. They are be able to affirm their style or experiment with other facets of their musical universe. The idea being to encourage everyone to express themselves freely, take risks and surprise themselves.

SPITZHACKE will feature underground artists within the spectrum of harder styles, from hard techno, hard dance, hard trance, hardcore, hardstyle and so forth.

Deep underground lies a place unlike any other, one that defies imagination until you've descended into its depths yourself: Unter Tage. From dawn till dusk, the relentless echo of pickaxes fills the air. The work beneath the surface is harsh, filthy, and deafening.

The first descent into the mines carries a cocktail of fears, a dance with the unknown that lurks within the cavernous depths. Yet, there's a strange allure to the subterranean mysteries of mining operations. The carving of tunnels and shafts into the earth, the extraction of coal amidst the ever-present threat of tragic accidents—collapses, dust, noise, and explosions punctuate the miners' daily routines.

However, the underground world also offers an aesthetic and sensory experience like no other. The juxtaposition of restriction and vastness is heightened by additional elements: unique odors, a harmony of sounds dominated by machinery yet punctuated by the creaking and groaning of rock. The interplay of darkness and illumination further adds to this experience, evoking an undeniable sense of an oppressive feeling.

Paroxyzm – the unpronounceable and unwritable name, that stands for a sudden and powerful expression of a strong feeling, especially one that you can’t control. A feeling, that definitely parallels with Paroxyzm.

Finding inspiration in the hard and fast, the German-born techno DJ quickly became involved in the rave scene after his move to Amsterdam. Being part of underground circuits, he discovered his own personal style and passion; a hard, dark and deep sound. 

Driving usually at a blistering tempo, he melts different styles together, by which he creates his personal signature with a continuous galloping flow and powerful storyline. Paroxyzm touches upon a variety of genres, drawing mainly from techno to rave, hardcore and trance – combining elements of the 90s old school and new school. 

Thunderous and cathartic sounds are fired off, accentuating pace and power by hard kicks, daggering synth stabs and rolling snares to embrace tireless energy with a clear intention.
