I've been working on it for a while. My goal was to tell a story through dance music using a longer structure than what i've done before.

Axwell’s progressive house anthem ‘Center of the Universe’ has been broken down, reworked and revamped into an even grander electro-house remix by up and coming Polish DJ/producer Blinders. Officially released on Axtone on the 14th of October, this remix of ‘Center of the Universe' is ready to become a classic.

This remix has ramped everything up into an even more anthemic piece of big room electro-house with harder kicks, uncompromising electro synths, and bigger build-ups, leaving space for the reworked vocals of Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson to ring through.

The new remix was originally a re-edit sent to the label as a demo that is now being released in it’s own right - A clear indication that Axtone do check through their submissions to find genuine talent!

'Center Of The Universe' works on the classic anthemic progressive house sound that Axwell and his label have made their own and was released on Axtone earlier this year - an acclaimed track also used in Carlsberg’s ‘Where’s The Party?' campaign.

In spite of his young age, Mateusz Owsiak, better known as Blinders, has already progressed leaps and bounds in the industry and received support from Dirty South, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas, Sebastien Drums and many more. Blinders initially gained popularity after making a remix for Dirty South and Thomas Gold - “Alive”, which climbed to the top of the Beatport Chart. His musical talent is clear as he already has an eclectic collection of tracks and remixes under his belt - ranging from a Drumstep remix of Katy Perry to an acoustic piano cover of Whitney Houston.

So here's my remix to Light's And Thunder. 

There's many things about this remix.
I brought in a bunch of the older Ton!c sounds but every single lead you hear in the drop (except the sawtooth dutch lead and the krewella vocal) are all my voice. So the process of the sound design was a bit longer than usual. There's another big room drop with a progressive feel to it. I also recorded myself clapping, and doing a couple other loops you'll hear in the full track. 

Now the ending was what i was excited to do. 
I've always loved reggae, and ive been wanting to add it to some of my tracks.
So i picked up my guitar, put together some drum samples i recorded, added some more of my vocals recorded on my iphone, whipped up a vintage sounding organ, brought in the melody i used for the progressive drop with a lead that was also created with my voice, and tried to make the whole piece sound like an actual reggae band. The trick was blending it all smoothly and come together so it works. So i hope you guys dig it!

also, the reggae doesn't come in that soon, there's a full minute outro before that comes in, this was just an edit i did for preview.
