a few months ago i was presented the opportunity to compose a TB for Resurrection Cup 2024 (which you can catch the streams for here! ➜ https://www.twitch.tv/resurrectioncup) and so i decided to really go all out and create an 8 minute long celtic track!

My request for Audio Secret Santa '24 is from DemonWolf. They asked for: Some gnarly neurofunk.
I supplied that and then some.

The song title is a play on the phrase "keeping vigil," meaning "to stay by someone's side as they are nearing the end of their life." A.S.S. (Audio Secret Santa) and ChipsCompo, as a whole, have been a wild ride, and I enjoyed every last second of it. Still, due to things like college and a constant inability to do these contests with less driving force, I've made this song as a slight farewell to this fantastic place and the amazing people I've met from here.
Reflecting on my journey, I realize how much I've grown through the challenges and creativity these contests have brought into my life. Each interaction, every collaboration, and the collective passion we all share for music has left a lasting impression on me. The friendships formed in this community are a treasure I will carry with me forever.
Creating this song was a cathartic experience, allowing me to pour my emotions into every note. It serves as a reminder of the memories I've shared everywhere—the laughter, the late-night brainstorming sessions, and even the moments of frustration that made the musical victories all the more rewarding.
