The Rip Tide, el último disco de Beirut, es un viaje espectacular de sólo 30 minutos y 9 canciones compuestas por trompetas, ukulele, violines, acordeones y la singular y profunda voz de Zach Condon. Mantiene una melancolía épica que ha distinguido a la banda en trabajos anteriores, pero está vez Zach Condon se muestra más optimista. En el disco podemos encontrar un sonido electro como “Santa Fe”, canción escrita por Condon a los 15 años. En “East Harlem”, Beirut nos entrega una exquisita composición con trompetas. Mientras que “Goshen” es una semi-balada que al inicio nos recuerda a un sonido clásico del pop británico de principios de los noventa. In 3 steps users actively participated in the creation of a song. They sent in original vocal tracks, decided on musical styles, created covers, voted and commented.

The final song will be accompanied by a user generated cover as well as a digital booklet giving credit to those who actively participated.
