Caged Emotion is the producer, song writer, recording and mixing engineer, and the artist. While studying the art of recording at FullSail University in Orlando, FL. He pursued his aspirations of producing and engineering music. When J.L. was a teenager he played guitar in a metal band called Anathema but as he grew older he discovered his passion for other genres. He began making hip-hop Beats and recorded his first album "J.L.P. Mixtape Vol. 01" at the age of 18. The CD was a great success and featured the artist "Triggarillo". The two of them combined their efforts and sold roughly 1000 Copies themselves out of the trunk of his car and made $5,000. After graduating he got with his childhood friend Deandre and produced music under the name of "DrumMajorsATL". After separating from "DMATL," J.L. took the stage as "Caged Emotion". Caged Emotion is J.L.'s name as the Producer and as an artist. The "CE" Logo represents living in a prison of self or in other words, "being your own worst enemy" J.L. says. "Ive been through many struggles and let many things get the best of me, But living in a Cage of Emotions is what fuels my passion for making music, I feel trapped inside of myself until I unleash and release how I am feeling into the writing, recording and mixing of my tracks. So when I hit the stage or I'm in the Studio and your listening to my music, you get a glimpse of who I am "Uncaged." But in the mean time I'm usually walking around and lost somewhere inside of my own head."
         
          Caged Emotion's Debut album "Uncaged" is underway and will be released in the summer of 2016. "Im working really hard for this album to fully reflect who I am as a person and portray my love for all genres of music." C.E. says. "On the "Uncaged" album your going to hear anything from Rap to Metal to Pop. I want to transcend the norm and want people from all walks of life to be able to relate or appreciate just one song on my album. If I can do that, I'll be satisfied"

           CE is in the studio recording his first solo album and seems to be on his way to becoming the first "Self-Produced, Self-Engineered, Self-Written" Artist of his generation. The Song "L.I.F.E." was his first record as an artist and only a small taste of whats to come of "Caged Emotion" in the future.

Semaj the Artist, also known as James “Semaj” Hill, was born September 14,1992 in Macon, GA.  At the mere age of 8, while in transition to Charlotte, North Carolina with his family his musical abilities started to be noticed by members in his community. His musical ambitions began at Macedonia Baptist Church in Macon, GA., where his mother was a lead singer and he accompanied her every week. He began to take interest in the percussion section in which the congos became his favorite. 
Once his family moved to North Carolina, he continued to attend praise and worship practice with his mother at Faith Bible Church where he began to sing and play the drums in children's church. At the age of 9 he wrote his very first song entitled, "Thank you Lord". While in the car one day, as his mom was driving ”Semaj”, his brother, and younger sister to school, there was an announcement on the local gospel station stating that they were holding a singing competition in Charlotte. This was a pure sign of opportunity. After continually begging his mom to call the radio station to sing his newly written song, “Thank you Lord", Semaj was allowed to sing for the radio’s listeners and with a great surprise, Semaj won the competition.
From there he continued to write music in efforts of developing Semaj the Artist. By the age of 13, he was playing percussion in the church. He progressed on to join chorus at East Gaston High School where he was a part of the honors choir and was selected into the all-county chorus. He also became a member of the EG's (all male) a-cappella group. During his time with the EG Chorus Group, he was selected to sing the national anthem for Black History Month for the City Council.  James “Semaj” Hill performed before many during his high school years especially at sporting events. As a result of talent and opportunity, James “Semaj” Hill performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee during his senior year.  James “Semaj” Hill will be releasing his long awaited single “Rite Now” on ITunes, Amazon on Demand, Radio, Spotify, and other online stores in March 2015. He is currently recording with Grammy nominated engineer Jak Brown in Atlanta, GA who is known for many hit records with various artists including 2 Chainz, Rocko, Monica, and more.
