Spotlight #47 - MazeKashi

Early in his youth @mazekashi learnt to play piano and e-bass and gained experiences in various bands and music groups. After moving to Berlin in 2016, he immediately was driven by the incredible energy of electronic music, thrilling basslines, electrifying melodies and sharp snares. Maze quickly decided to start DJing to share his passion for music with his own personal touch!
Those familiar with him know that he loves to take over the crowd with his sound, depending on the mood and energy, and take them on a very special musical journey through a wide variety of genres and styles.
Maze is the co-founder of @buschtanz, organizing the lovely Buschtanz festival and other events with an incredible crew, and is also part of @staygold_music.

The track was and still is inspired by the Shaolin tale of a young Chinese woman desperately trying to fend off the perspective of forced marriage to a wealthy warrior. In her dire predicament she dares him to a fight in one year's time, provided she'll walk free if she prevails. Confronted with the prospect of fighting a superior enemy, the tale´s hero encounters an old woman well versed in Shaolin Kung Fu. She is taught Siu Nam Tao, or the art of turning your adversary's strength against him....

Liebste Möhrchen! This is my set recorded at Milde Möhre Festival 2020 (Seelenschaukel) at Puppenräuber on Saturday night (September 5th). It's always special to play at a festival but this year I feel incredibly lucky that I could share my music and this magic moment with so many of you crazy dancers. I had the feeling no mask or rave shield could stop your energy and love. Even when the music was turned down, you just came closer to the stage and created this vibrant, spirited atmosphere. My heart was all over the place! Möhrci for(dist)dancing and taking care of each other! And special thanks to my friends of Pachamama who invited me to this lovely Seelenschaukel!
