All the members of Spotlight were raised around the New Jersey Punk Rock scene. Chad Cook, (vocals, lead guitar, song writer) former member of The Amaury, took his roots one step further and started not only writing his own music, but became a phenomenal Audio & Pro Tools Engineer. Chad works with top producers regularly to learn as much as possible about the art of recording. He later teamed up with Steve Sant’Angelo (guitar, vocals, song writer) in the summer of 2011 to form Spotlight. They set out on a mission to maintain the hard rock guitars and sweet melodies that they love, while creating a new sound and music that envelops today’s culture.

They quickly signed on new members to the Spotlight music project. Lucas Cook (drummer) fit into the band perfectly; his unique style of drumming is the backbone of Spotlight’s music. He not only drums to guitar rifts and bass, but he also has to be in perfect time with a vast amount of digital music and electronics that go into many of the songs. Next, Rob (Bass) joined the band in the summer of 2012. Rob was a member of the New Jersey based band, LWL, that was a huge influential pop-punk group in the late 1990s. He has given the band a great sense of direction, lots of wisdom, and he provides vocals to compliment the many harmonies that Spotlight believes are paramount to their unique sound. Spotlight is a music enthusiast band. To them, there is no sound considered taboo; they believe that music should be limitless. Spotlight will always keep your musical ears entertained and unsure of what to expect next. So get ready, because Rock N’ Roll is coming back! Their way.

Ctothe discovered hip-hop very early on in life. Inspired and enthusiastic he instantly fell in love. Around age six he began to write down thoughts in the form of rhyme. His grade school was located in Bedminster, NJ. There he was introduced to music instructors and quickly gravitated to taking beginner lessons for instruments such as bass, violin and snare drums. This newly found passion resonated deeply with his soul. He would consistently be found spittin' freestyles with his friends and writing rhymes in his notepads.
Ctothe can remember purchasing  two cassette tapes around the age of ten(Naughty By Nature's "Poverty's Paradise" and Salt n Pepa's "Very Necessary"). 
As years passed by he never stopped writing and rhyming all the while working in the electrical trade. Hip-Hop and other genres of music continued mesmerizing and inspiring "C" to the point of no return. He made the decision to brand himself as Product of Myth.
During the winter of '09, more of that dream was coming to fruition. One of his closest cousins and music producer Infinite Kid agreed to launch an independent record label together using the name Product of Myth.
Two years later, in April of 2011, Product of Myth successfully purchased a mobile home in Fort Lauderdale, FL and remodeled said trailer into their first fully functional home recording studio. Local artist Sky Skraper released  "Foundation" featuring Ctothe and produced by Infinite Kid in September of 2011. Ctothe released "Showcase Vol. 1" under Product of Myth in October 2011. Since than they have moved back and forth from Florida to NY and NJ and Ctothe got married and had a baby girl.  Keep an eye out for them in 2020!

As a multi-instrumentalist, my primary tools are the guitar and my voice, weaving together melodies that speak to the soul. From thought-provoking philosophical musings to uplifting motivational anthems, my songs are a reflection of my quest for creativity, connection, and meaning.

Despite navigating the world without social media or a phone, I'm here to share my sonic journey with you. Whether you're a fellow oddball, a seeker of truth, or simply someone looking for a bit of inspiration, there's a place for you in my musical universe.
