Jakarta's Kimo steps up for a new EP of brilliant chuggy nu-disco and trippy house destined for DJ boxes worldwide.

Home starts things off as they mean to go on with an eastern synth riff that builds over a big sub. Keys are introduced with the chord change before the drop and the slo-mo wild pitch acid breaks cover.

Oceana puts a donk in it, keeping things deep and stripped back but not for long. The music gets intense as a distorted riff builds with strings and snares bringing the heat.

Night Light drops the BPMs into psychedelic krautrock territory as the synths distort and hypnotise with a subtly changing chord for that soulful Balearic edge.

Finally, Odyssey is on a more dreamy disco tip that builds up Kimo's trademark intensity as distorted synths riff with the bass. Perfection for watching the sunrise or set.

The 74th reference comes from the great Downunderdisco, this Englishman based in Australia is an old acquaintance of the label, and this time he presents us something totally different under his new aka Dad Bod with his partner in this new project "Henri le blanc".

Two tracks called Digital & The Cosmic Wheel, energetic and suitable for any dancefloor these are two great tracks that will take you to the deepest trance, refined electronica to make you feel great the night you listen to it in a club.

It also comes with another remix by Henri Le Blanc and label captain James Rod, which takes the track The Cosmic Wheel to another prism different from the original, a cosmic touch but with touches of Balearic and Cosmic, sure you will love it and make you dance from the first minute.

Fantasound is the fifth full length album from Slovenian Space Disco producer Ichisan. This debut LP on international label Discolypso follows recent singles Harmona and Margit Mono. Ichisan’s sound is Space Disco Pop Bliss - swooshing synths collide with pulsing rhythms and twinkling melodies, creating a kaleidoscopic universe of pure joy. 

The artist explains the process:

"The album was recorded during the 2020 lockdown period. In those long uncertain days I watched all kinds of movies and rediscovered the ‘1940 Fantasiaʼ with my three year old son. 
I started researching the story behind the production of the animated musical film and especially the sound production of Fantasia. Fantasound was a stereophonic sound reproduction system developed by engineers of Walt Disney and RCA. That is how I found the album title. After the album was recorded I knew that the artwork must be related to Fantasia. I always had ‘The Sorcererʼs Apprenticeʼ in my mind as an inspiration for the album artwork. Mickey Mouseʼs dreams in the dark-blue space and Fantasia poster logo were guidelines. The illustrator Meta Wraber delivered the fantastic artwork in her signature watercolour technique." 

'Fantasound’ is a symphony of disco and italo, space synth waves and a happy-go-lucky driving rhythms. A sound that doesn't exist in the real world, the Fantasound is very much alive and in our mind during our happiest moments. 

After teasing with several EPs, Ichisan blesses the world via Discolypso with the full Fantasound, an immersive ecstatic experience filled with twists and turns that will keep you on your Tip Top toes.
