Club legend Lele Sacchi and Italy’s most influential indie label Asian Fake present their newest Milan-based venture, Stolen Goods Records. Their first release, ‘Volume Zero’, is a sampler featuring twelve Italian artists showcasing the upcoming flavours of the imprint, spanning all corners of the electronic music spectrum.

‘Stolen Goods - Volume 0’ boasts an impressive cast of established artists and newcomers alike. Life and Death and Ransom Note veteran Bawrut, legendary 90s hero DJ Rocca and up & coming Asian Fake artist Plastica kick off the release. They are joined by Funk Rimini’s blissful footwork, recent Truncate & Symbolism signing Elisa Bee’s floor-filling techno and Nic Sarno’s experimental style of new wave dance music.

The release also sees Hot Creations & Defected’s Rogue D rework an old Tyree Cooper hip-house track before label co-owner Lele Sacchi comes in with a hypermodern fusion of house and techno. Apparel’s Artizhan, Ruff Stuff, Sickarone and Tempio del Futuro Perduto mastermind Industrial Romantico round things off by adding a rave-ready, electro and breakbeat influenced package to the release.

Secretsundaze 17th release comes from London based producer Endian. Releasing just 2 EP's in a few years on Non Plus and Electric Minds, Endian has nevertheless managed to to turn the heads of the likes of Steffi who used one of his tracks for her Panorama Bar compilation and Boddika who also licensed a track for a various artists EP. Sounding like a producer far more experienced than the two releases would indicate, it came as no surprise that this is far from the the output of a novice but the seasoned veteran George Levings aka Commix (Metalheadz). 

Endian has been a regular at secretsundaze events over the years and a friendship developed with Giles and James. The project is an outlet for him to release the more technoey and house sound that he is increasingly inspired by.
 
Lead and title track 'Finish Me' is a stone cold killer. Ballsy, raw and over driven in the mix, a tribal breakbeat groove builds before brassy stabs sneak in. The peak of the track sees dramatic pads cut through for a moment of serenity before the drums drop back in. Joy Orbison used 'Finish Me' in his Essential mix late last year and its also been a highlight of secretsundaze's sets over last 6 months. 'Techno To Finish' goes deeper with a layer of fuzzy warmth enveloping the track. Driving but definitely one for the later hours or early on with its hypnotising flow and subtle musical flourishes. Last up 'Sub Tropic' is a heads down, growling, low slung techno track with its deep sub bass. This is definitely a track you can imagine hearing in the bowels of Berghain well into Sunday daytime. 

'Finish Me' is arguably Endian's best work to date and it's another fine addition to the secretsundaze catalogue.

Greta Cottage Workshop's 'soul' purpose is to get great unheard electronic music into the world, with no compromise. There is no defining style here and releases range from slower more melodic jams to housier cuts and beyond. Curator and label head Matt Densham has put together a steady stream of releases from Greta Cottage (it's a real place!) in Torquay, Devon county since 2009 and the musical output is not unlike the landscape in the south-west of England - in one word, diverse. The label is also home to a radio show with a more upbeat approach which often features guests on Soundart FM every Saturday.

GCW's next release comes from Grimes Adhesif (soundcloud). The Wales-based producer is a bit of an unsung veteran in the scene with releases dating back almost two decades, with the majority of them coming out on his own label Mind Your Head Records. He's also part of a tight-knit crew of Welsh producers and DJs that includes the likes of Duckett, Tom Demac, Steevio and Suzybee the latter two of which also organize Freerotation, an annual intimate festival which Grimes Adhesif is booked to play every year.

His forthcoming EP "Clovelly" has apparently been in the works for quite some time, with our title track and premiere having been aired on GCW Radio over two years ago. 'Kalender Days' is a hypnotic tune featuring the late Alex Ookpik on vocals. Steady click-clacking percussion paired with some melancholic chords lend a mesmerizing air to the song which is further complemented by Alex's soothing vocals, appropriately reverberating in the background. Despite the slightly somber mood, Kalender Days is actually a fairly upbeat affair. With a rolling sub bass driving the groove, it's perfect for the wee hours.

Brain Dancing springs from a creative collaboration between Glasgow DJ alumni Rob Etherson, one half of techno outfit Mia Dora and a renowned mix engineer, alongside Ross Anderson co-founder of Sub Club residency I AM (now in its 8th year), graphic artist and creative programming director of The Berkeley Suite.  Brain Dancing operates as a monthly party, a studio project and a curated visual aesthetic. 

With both members having their own releases on Optimo Trax, their relationship with the Glasgow home scene is evolving and growing - Etherson with Mia Dora’s Un.Sub EP  in 2014, and Anderson on the Glasgow. London. New York. Edinburgh EP in 2015 (under his I AM DJ moniker Beta).

Channeling their dancefloor influences, from past masters of the rave and beyond, and fusing those with 21st century production techniques Brain Dancing present their 2nd EP on OMDD following a successful debut on BNR Trax.
