Chicago based DJ and producer Drew Hilsabeck (BURD, Kids Friends and Your Dad).

Circumstantial Audio was founded in 2006 in Homer, Alaska by DJ and producer Drew Hilsabeck, aka BURD. 

As a label that has been home to BURD, Mega Electric, and the venerable Alaskan post-electronic duo Kids Friends and Your Dad (KFYD), Circumstantial Audio aims to showcase diverse traditional and experimental electro-acoustic music made for the past, present, and future, depending on the circumstance.

I have been writing folk songs for as long as I can remember.
As a professional musician, I've spent many years recording, producing and playing on other people's albums, and performing on the largest stages in Israel. In 2016, I took the leap and released my own album, which I humbly present to you below. It is a labor of love, a going away present as I was leaving Israel and migrating to California, where I was fortunate enough to play these songs on many new stages.

I am presently working on my second album, Evergreen, which encompasses two very complicated years of my life: loss, grief, immigration and a journey of incredible discovery about myself.

Using only major plot points from episode summaries online, we will improvise the story of each episode of the hit '90s sitcom Home Improvement.

Afroduck Sounds has been a prolific music production entity for over 10 years.  Creating music isn’t just a hobby for us – it’s a life-giving passion.  We work with talented artists all over the globe to bring our unique flavor and sound to all kinds of music, from indie film scores to music for the NY Knicks!

We’ve had the great fortune of serving as audiocurator at the HitRecord Production Company for the past three years, where our music has been featured in various funded projects,  including a number of songs to be featured in the upcoming video game “Beyond Good and Evil 2,” now in production.  We’ve also had the honor of working under the wing of gracious Grammy-nominated producer ill Factor, known for his work with such talents as Matisyahu, Justin Timberlake, Skylar Grey, Jason Derulo, Calvin Harris and Kelly Rowland.

We have composed score for film and worked with various musical artists to create exactly the sound they want for their own recording projects.  We bring our unique artistry and creative experience to each project to provide the best-quality, most innovative music to artists and audiences around the world.
