Redspace - Warm-Up for Guy Mantzur, Waves & Mirissa, Sri-Lanka 14.04.25

Preparing for my first live gig and as a result I am re-arranging tracks for playing dawless on hardware, as I don't want to use a computer. This is a track that I wrote 2 years ago when living in Berlin about my relationship with my 25 year old daughter. I was learning modern production, so I have also polished and dusted some of the instruments as part of this new arrangement.

This version is mostly instrumental, as I am keeping the vocals sparse for my first gig. I have enough to worry about just playing and performing the synth and drum parts.

This could be a new single so I have labelled it as a single version.

Breaking Down Walls 2025

This song was born out of anger and frustration towards the world and I actually wrote it amidst all the UK rights in 2024 when the whole country went into a madness with racial attacks etc. So yeah, it has a bit of weight to it but I think it still maintains my overall message of wanting to better myself and do good where I can. I hope u love it

One Way Road

As I put together my live set, I needed to remix this,  one of my first tracks from 2023. My production skills have improved since the original release and this is shorter and punchier. 

Uplifting trance anthem transformed by a catchy vocal hook that sounds like it was lifted from 70's folk music. The track was inspired by driving 600 miles every weekend to be with my young daughter when we blasted out 90's trance music and I was powered by caffeine. 132 bpm

What started off as a 90bpm ambient project for the Roehampton EMOM, suddenly became a dark dub session at 90bpm.  Trying out something completely different.  Really pleased with the first track and the start of the second.  Struggled with levels on the second tracks melody, which was meant to be subdued.  Started far too quiet then went far to loud. Was written in the days prior like most of my live sets so not the cleanest performance but I'm really happy with the sounds and the atmosphere each managed to create.  The simple melody of the third track suits its unfinished cadence.  As always work in progress, learning curve being climbed and my tastes and experimental attitude always at play. Although I'm not the best at improvising. I really enjoy the challenge even if happy accidents do make up a large percentage of the best bits. The event was a great experience and I hope more artists will consider joining and playing.  No one is there to judge, and the vibe is supportive and positive. #emommovemnt

A sunday afternoon groovy jam with a house influence, a conga groove and an organ.

I started my groove with my Polyend Play+ providing a solid modern kick and a clap. I added a low tom and high hats on the RD-9. The low tom is doing an upbeat pulsing bassline. Then I thought this is the ideal situation to bring out the RD-78 for the conga sound and I also added a clave (cheeky extra). 

At this point I was really grooving. Adding the organ from the Roland J-6 and a bassline from the Roland SE-02. I mixed it live with a delay and some reverb. I have not changed the audio at all apart from putting it through my normal master chain to get it really pumping. I used the high pass filter on the RD-9 to shape the tom and you can hear me doing that in the track.
