zerzaust die Welt, zerstreut die Träume
Ein loses Glas klirrt im Gebäude
es tanzt das Gras wild im Sturm hinter der Scheune

Ein Orkan schwebt wild entschlossen
Hat Zweige, Blätter mitgerissen
Hat einen Zaun umgestoßen
ganz im Vertrauen einen wirklich riesengroßen

Denn wo der Gegenwind auch weht
wer still ihm trotzt der aufrecht steht
der spürt in jedem Sturm und in jedem Raum
liegt ganz viel Kraft und manchmal auch ein Traum

Der Wind zieht an den Bäumen
Um die Welt zu erneuern
Er hinterlässt freie Räume
Kein Blatt bleibt dort
wo die Äste sich verneigen

Der Wind bringt neue Träume
für jedes Kind für alle Leute
die noch glauben ohne Reue
an das was passt
und was einem viel bedeutet

Manchmal braucht es einen frischen Wind
damit Altes vergeht - und Neues beginnt
Denn jeder Wind erinnert uns daran
das Erneuerung keinen Stillstand kennen kann

Der Wind zieht immer weiter 
und die Welt wird immer leiser
Der Himmel malt sich neu und heiter
Ein Konvoi von Vögeln dreht hoch oben seine Kreise

Wo Wind einst wütend wild gerannt
liegt nun ein still ruhiges Land 
Im Gegenwind gereift und gestärkt 
hat sich das Herz wie von neu aufgeklärt

Manchmal braucht es einen frischen Wind
damit Altes vergeht - und Neues beginnt
Denn jeder Wind erinnert uns daran
das Erneuerung keinen Stillstand kennen kann

Wer den Sturm von innen kennt
Weiß das Erneuerung im Winde brennt
und dass nach jedem lauten Toben
All unsere Träume wieder heller loben
