Spyn Reset's new studio album, Dots. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful opportunity to connect with our awesome fans, engage with new ones, and spread the word about the music we take so much pride in creating. 
Our vision for our third full length album was to grow from our instrumental roots and take on a powerful new shape musically. Having taken a few years since our last release to explore new musical terrain, we were able to approach this record with a fresh perspective. Challenged to redefine our sound as a trio, we incorporated unique vocal elements and fully embraced lyrics. As a result, Dots is truly unlike anything we've done before.

Dots represents us -- the people in the world. No matter where you are, we are all connected between dots. Those connections to each other are strengthened when we approach others with an openness to embrace new and unfamiliar perspectives. This concept led us throughout the recording process, as this is also true of musical collaborations.

Dots was recorded at the legendary London Bridge Studio in our hometown of Seattle. It was the perfect choice for us, as our previous records were recorded there exquisitely, co-produced/engineered by Geoff Ott (engineer for Queens of the Stone Age / Three Doors Down). Since our first studio album in 2010, Geoff has been an important part of our development and we feel fortunate to have had him working with us on this album as well.

Spyn Reset released their second full length album “Four Dimensional Audio” in 2012. This album is a self-produced album combining collaboration and improvisation within a throughly-composed work of art. The album was produced and engineered by Geoff Ott (engineer for Queen of the Stone Age, Three Doors Down, etc) of “London Bridge Studio” and mastered by Steve Turnidge (Ultraviolet Studios, The Recording Academy).

Building on the collaboration of four eclectic musicians, Spyn Reset in 2011 evolved their sound toward Progressive Electronic Instrumental composition exploring the Moog Synthesizer, Fender Rhodes Piano, Bass, Drums, Percussion, and Vibes. Bands in the genre of Spyn Reset include Sound Tribe Sector 9, Garage a Trois, Lotus, Battles, Jaga Jazzist, Medeski Martin and Wood, Mars Volta, and Daft Punk.

Spyn Reset was born out of frontman / synth player YASU’s desire to meld his
Japanese music background and love heavy synths lead with the math rock, prog, and grunge he grew up listening to. Written over three years, Dots was recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle.
