Mixed by Grammy-Award Winning Engineer Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Wilco) and Ian
Davenport (Band of Skulls, Supergrass), Friends and the Fakers announces the official
arrival of LowRay as Minneapolis’ next great Americana rock band.
A trans-Atlantic duo comprised of Daniel Fowlds (Pill Hill) on vocals and guitar, and
James Irving (22-20s) on drums, LowRay’s debut LP also features A-list guest
musicians Jeff Victor (Honeydogs) on keyboards, Ian Allison (Eric Hutchinson, Jeremy
Messersmith) on bass, and Jacques Wait (Twilight Hours) and Blair Krivanek (Sonny
Knight and the Lakers) on guitar.
Building on the promise of their debut EP Columbia, LowRay’s sound exudes a timeless
quality that refuses to adhere to any one style or trend. Friends and the Fakers‘ ten
airtight tracks mix classic FM radio rock with power pop, soul, R&B, new wave and
country.
The incendiary lead single and title cut recalls Damn the Torpedoes-era Tom Petty; both
stylistically and in Fowlds’ lyrical approach, which blends viceral angst with detached

Hi:) ich bin ein mehr oder weniger "normales" 21 jähriges Mädchen. Vielleicht mit ein paar mehr oder weniger Guten, sowie schlechten Erfahrungen. Meine größtes Hobby war es schon immer zu singen und mein größter Traum ist es, eigene Lieder zu schreiben und sie mit der Welt zu teilen. Als ich mir vor ca. einem Jahr das Gitarrespielen beibrachte, wollte dieser Wunsch nur noch erfüllt werden. :)
