A contemplative descent into a lucid dream state of being — part ambient echoes, part neon lit dance pulse. It builds from subtle piano and synth interplay into a low-burning electronic movement that feels like moving through a memory with a lapse of time. 

Noema is my 49th upload on Soundcloud and one I have really tried to spend the vast amount of work lost in the small details on. The lines (translated, edited, retranslated, reedited...) derive from "Philoctetes“ (409 B.C.), a Greek tragedy by Sophocles (496 - 405 B.C.). Mainly it is Ulysses speaking to Neoptolemos (The son of Achilles) in order to conspire against the bowman Philoctetes…

Turn of Time / Open Collab Offer

This is actually the third version of the song. I felt the original idea I’d roughed out with the keyboard and computer could be more interesting. So I reworked the whole track again (twice) adding several ‘hooks’. These were some vocal ‘stabs’, some keyboard/synth riffs as well as writing ( what I hope ) is a more interesting bass line. I beefed up the drum section too. I hope the fun I had creating it is reflected in the overall vibe of the track. Having said all this, the question is: did it actually work?
