Hello, we’re an acoustic rock trio based in Sonoma County, California. If you’re a fan of Wilco, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Crowded House, Waxahatchee, Big Thief or Counting Crows, you might dig what we do. 

As singer-songwriter for the band Darrington, Drew Pearce was part of the SF music scene that orbited around the Bazaar Cafe in the early 00s. After releasing the record "Heat Change Vapor + Snow" in 2002, Drew started hosting a house concert series to present indie musicians  in  living rooms and listening spaces around the SF Bay Area. After lockdowns, the series turned into backyard music parties known as the Secret Song Club. 

In 2016, Drew got inspired to record again with the help of musician/producers Jeff Campbell and Gawain Mathews on the track Fight or Flight. In 2022, he recorded an album called Voices from the Satellite with some of his favorite bay area musicians, including Kyle Caprista, Meredith Edgar, Amie Penwell, Francesca Lee, Leah Jones, Lynn Asher, Jason Roberts, Emilie Rohrbach, and Audrey Scout. In 2024, he met Lindsey McFarland through the Hopmonk Sebastopol open mic scene and began performing in Sonoma County venues as the band Late But Ready.

Lindsey McFarland is a soulful singer and acoustic guitarist known for heartfelt performances that blend unique covers with an authentic, personal touch. With a natural talent for reimagining songs and a love for acoustic simplicity, Lindsey thrives on making music a shared experience, whether she's playing solo or jamming with friends.

At just 16 years old, Rio McFarland is already a seasoned bassist with talent and versatility that span genres and styles. From the rhythmic pulse of rock and reggae to the intricate melodies of jazz, classical, and bluegrass music, Rio brings a unique voice to every performance. Starting on bass at the age of 11, Rio quickly fell in love with the instrument’s ability to bridge rhythm and harmony. Inspired by legends across multiple genres and decades, Rio infuses every note with passion and precision, whether playing the electric bass with a driving groove or the upright bass with a warm, resonant tone.

I work at songwriting with temperament and a fair amount of tempestuousness. I get inspired to put together words, music and melodies out of an appreciation for storytellers John Hiatt and Rodney Crowell and songwriters like Neil Finn, Chuck Prophet and Ron Sexsmith. I grew up in Northern California.  My father would bring home garbage bags full of old 45 records that I would rummage through all afternoon.  “Someone must have tossed them out of their collection.” I’d think..but, there they were in front of me and I needed them! There were some caked with garbage and grime and others pristine without a single scratch. I would get excited to drop the needle and hear what’s next. What a gift!
Years later, I’d take a pilgrimage to Texas with two suitcases and $500 in the bank.  I used the time to cut my teeth among the open-mics and songwriters’ night’s. Those type of shows were in abundance at the time I was around town, I really got into listening to the other writers play and talk about music. “Live Music Capital of the World”, Austin’s music scene yielded a bounty of musical experiences that I can still draw on today.

I live in Sonoma. Ca.  I stay busy as a singer-songwriter. I am grateful.
