Pearland Music Company was formed by music producer, Nicholas “Brother Shadrach” Smith. An independently funded, and homegrown music company, Pearland Music, is not one that would not limit itself to categorization. The company keeps busy dabbling in music production, show promotion, publishing, artist development & management, and social/charity initiatives. In 2012 Pearland welcomed on Jill Cleveland, former Radio GM, to the team to help with A&R. Creatively, we pride ourselves as being a people who strive to create great music while abiding to these simple artistic values.

Constantly attempt to preserve values not styles. Continually celebrate valid and creative motives. Disintegrate color lines and negative stereotypes. Always produce and expect quality, not quantity. Practice integrity in all actions – Give respect where it’s due!

We simply create art in the form of music and want to share it with you! Money isn’t the motive, hustle is not something need to do, and the community is all we care about. We want to personally thank you for taking the time to read about our small gig we have here. Born and raised in California, producer BLAQLight is a self-proclaimed "beatmaker" who has been praised by Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, and 9th Wonder. He professes in the area of "soul beats". Heavily influenced by early Kanye West, some have called his style of production "Kanye West Meets The West Coast". 

BLAQLight is a DJ, producer, and musician who is currently working on his debut producer-album, called "Still I Rise: I Am A Revolutionary". It will feature powerfully conscious songs that promote unity, love, and rebuilding our broken society. Songs include "Solitude", "Black Skin", "Still I Rise", and the heavily acclaimed "Black History".
