The amalgamation of epochs through the lens of artistic expression forms the bedrock of the latest EP from Kyiv-born artist, Lostlojic. Monuments erected by unidentified sculptors, scattered across Ukraine and Europe, stand as silent testaments to their creators, who have left behind little information about themselves. The distant future holds the same air of mystery, its unpredictability both awe-inspiring and daunting. It serves as a constant reminder of our need to seize the present, to create in the here and now, and leave behind a legacy of beauty that will be appreciated for millennia to come.

Drawing inspiration from the city of Kyiv and its denizens (“Kyivskyi vechir” Kyiv’s evening), this potent fusion of electro, bass, and techno hurtles forward at a pace ranging from 140 to 160 bpm, saturating the soundscape with a cultural code. This is achieved through terabytes of references to cinema, poetry, and history (“URH” contains sample from audio verse "Do you know that you are human?" by Ukrainian poet Vasyl Symonenko, read by Daryna Panasenko). Plus a breakbeat remix of “Zroby Sebe Sam” from Ukrainian legend - Sider.

Lostlojic, a Kyiv-based electronic musician and DJ, weaves his dynamic mix of electro, breakbeat, and bass-driven music into the cultural fabric of Ukraine. With his works released on various European labels such as Deeptrax, Furthur Electronix, Infinite Pleasure, and Phuture Shock Musik, he echoes the rhythmic heartbeat of his city. As the proprietor of Mystictrax and Noneside labels and a host on Gasoline Radio (UA) and Melodic Distraction (UK), Lostlojic actively shapes the soundscape of contemporary electronic music.

A «Cold Dish» is a mini-album from electronic artist @ssidermusic, his work over the past few years. The cunning interweaving of ethnic and breakbeat with electro became his master's trick long before it became some kind of a mainstream, but, obviously - he do it better than anyone else. Only check out his records on the Day by day label, and the remix of the track «Zroby Sebe Sam» by Lostlojic. Incredible melodies, mysticism, and super powerful break drums - a real work of art! Each of his tracks is a reminder of the depth of Ukrainian roots and faith in victory over the Russian invaders.
