After five years in the desert, Geoglyph returns with a new solo album Otherworldly. Recorded on analogue synths, bass guitar, flute, and melodica, and with guest appearances from guitarists Jason Bond and Toby Snowden, this is a warm, proggy album with a handmade feel. Continuing on the path set by Geolinguistic and Messages from the Resonator, each track tells a story with contrasting sections. COME AND HEAR: inscrutable ceremonies in twilit caverns; ancient glyphs carved on stony mesas; impossible structures which defy space and time.

A Gentle Breeze

A few years back I received the keys to an alien spacecraft. What? How? No way. Get f…. Out off here! Chill-out no joke and in a nutshell, it went down like this…. I met an alien in the outbacks of Australia who offered me in exchange for my pet cat ‘Glitch’ and my laptop ‘Hop’ a flying saucer. As you can imagine and you may have done the same ‘fuck the cat and laptop…..’ Yay! 

We sealed the deal in my House located in EDM street, Queensland. A bunch of training hours to navigate and operate all Electronica with the alien I mastered the saucer-like it was meant to be. The extraterrestrial vessel capable of doing light speed, stretching space-time itself, warping into black holes and cracking any wormhole.  

Most of our training trips started in what I describe downtempo speed mainly to warm up the fusion engine smoothly passing our solar system. Surpassing the sun and with warm engines the alien a friend of synthesiser-heavy music emphasising the best and most dance-friendly Nu-disco elements blasted the music on the crafts stereo. I recorded the alien singing as we passed planets, space crafts, slipping through the occasional wormhole, adding the exclusive vocals, pulsing samples, fractured beats and plus the bazaar sounds of the fusion engine will take you on a momentous cruise. 

The upbeat and feel good style on the mix is on my must-have when I take my little space rocket for a universal spin. As Bruce W. once said "Yippie-Kay-Yay…..”
