Som en del av SASUSU Radio og vårt tromsøbaserte radioarbeid har vi i en lengre periode forsøkt å nå ut til folk i lokalområdet for å hente inn lokale stemmer, samt ny lyd og musikk. Med fokus på sameksistens i lokalområdet skal radioen de neste månedene danne nye spennende (og artige) utvekslinger med områdene vi befinner oss i.

Radio Aurorbua #1 - Verdens Mest Lokale Program (Piloten)

Center Of The Universe aka Dj Sissyfus is a Norwegian electronic music producer who recently turned his output into a mixture of unique ethno disco & warm synthpop. Live, he presents us with enchanting lyrics, catchy melodies, pinches of acid and clarinette playing. He has been releasing close to 15 albums, performing in numerous live bands and has been running his own label Metronomicon Audio since 2000. 

Center of the Universe has been active in the Norwegian underground music scene since 1998 and has in addition to participating in several other projects, found the time to release a whole host of solo albums, including a trilogy where the theme was space and time. It is difficult to give a clear definition of the band’s musical impression, as this tends to change from release to release, but it would not be wrong to say that melody is always at the center. What apparently may begin as a pop song entice you into a world where nothing is as it seems and musical expectations are seldom met. For the Center of the Universe no surna is too high and no bass too deep. He has always walked off the beaten path next to the road less travelled and keeps trudging on in a landscape where the sun shines, vulcanoes erupt and it’s raining guitars, sitars and just plain’ol tars.

SASUSU RADIO ER EN MIGRERENDE MØTEPLASS OG RADIOPLATTFORM SOM HAR SIDEN 2021 SØKT ETTER FORBINDELSER MELLOM DET EELAM-TAMILSKE ØYLANDSKAP OG DEN TAMILSKE DIASPORAEN I NORGE.

I reinkarnasjonen av eelam-tamilsk kultur skapt ved møter med og mellom folk, stedsrelasjoner og migratoriske vekkelser presenteres eldre tradisjoner på nye tilfluktssteder, og nye tradisjoner på eldre tilholdssteder. Radioens uttrykk kanaliseres gjennom samarbeid og familiebånd som finner sted over tid og i ulike arbeider. Prosjektene er flyktige og grenseløse og formes i tilstedeværelsen, der menneskelig sameksistens fremhever hverdagen vår og vi som er en del av den. Mellom fysiske og felles holdepunkter forsøker radioen å slå røtter i de sammenhenger som finnes og som er forankret i samfunn, fortid og fremtid.

In the reincarnation of Eelam-Tamil culture created by encounters between people, relation to place and migratory revivals are old traditions presented in new havens while new traditions are presented in old habitats. SASUSU Radio and its projects are volatile and borderless, and is shaped by our presence where human coexistence opens up everyday life and we who are a part of it. The expressions and ideas of the radio are channeled through collaboration and family ties, which takes place over time and in different works. With physical and common spaces the radio attempts to take root in existing contexts, which are implanted in society, past and future.

Born in Portugal with parents from Angola, this songstress grew up in the sunny city of Setúbal before moving to the rainy city of Bergen in Norway. Tricultural Miss Tati makes her own path. Inspired by hip-hop, R&B and soul she makes her very own recipe, spicing up festival lineups in Norway (such as Slottsfjell, Øya and Bergenfest).
