Taha Ennouri aka https://soundcloud.com/arktah is a drummer, percussionist, DJ and electronic music producer. Son of the Tunisian alternative scene, he was involved in plenty of projects and collaborations with various artists form different musical backgrounds, such as Chabbouba Stambeli Urbain, Hiya Wal  Alam, Tree9, Gultra Sound System, Old’9 School... He made his debut as a DJ in 2012 on the Tunisian webradio “Radyoon رديون”, where he podcasted under his rubric “Global Groove”. 

His remix of Abyedh is both cinematic and melodic and takes you on a dreamy journey throughout a patchwork of soft beats and vocals and lands you in a cosy atmosphere.

"On this 6-track album, the musical world of Golden Ivy comes full circle as he introduces these seemingly different elements to each other. On one hand, there is the cold precision of programmed rhythms pulsing through the base layers: echoes of the urban industrial cityscape in which it functions. On the other hand, the sliding howls across the strings of the violin reaches much further out into the wilderness. And still - melded together - they manage to convey a feeling of “home”.

Taking inspiration from the fourth world concept of Jon Hassel, Ivar finds a delicate path where influences of folk music from various cultures can be captured and contained within a modern frame of mind. The violin and flute are present throughout the album like a red thread. Perhaps they are the perfect instruments to capture the melancholy, isolation and beauty of being alone with nature, and of being home in oneself.

But there’s also Ivars jovial sense of humour that peers through, for instance on the pirate fantasy of “Long John Silver” or the jittery bounce of “Game Vän”. Oddball touches of lefthanded debauchery pass by here and there, but the focus remains on simplicity and repetition. The compositions are focused and tightly harnessed to the rhythms which carry them. "

In the right path opened by A Strange Wedding with his debut vinyl called «Meta Romance», Jacques Satre delivers with «Anatole Trance» a radical hallucinogenic journey through warped horizons of the mind. This longtime member of the Positive Education crew sets up a curious yet fascinating mixture of bass-driven downtempo techno, free-range acidalia and a fierce sense of absurd humor. The three tracks evolve slowly, building up between litanies for wrecked concrete samples and colorful enchantment. This ambivalence results in dancefloor burning tunes that could also be the soundtrack for mesmerizing off-time after-hours. A concentrate of local wizardry that unveils once again hollow zones of the sound of Saint-Etienne.
