Spazio returns after a year hiatus with a new release from Pavel Fedoseev, the famous drummer of Gnoomes and a talented representative of electronic music from Perm. His project KIKOK brings you a surreal sound that mixes intoxicating electronica, techno and new beat music.

Cacao Beach is a surreal synth sound that is a trippy and wonky mix of intoxicating electronica, techno and new beat music.
And the closing track, “Silver Pan,” is a true techno thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The bassline of this track just grabs you and doesn't let you go until the very end.

Terror/Cactus departs from their modern electronic sound to bring us a vintage psychedelic cumbia with fully live instrumentation. In "Encuentro Surrealista", Selasco’s signature guitar melodies are colorful and mysterious, with a touch of surf rock, while the percussion section holds down a steady organic cumbia rhythm.

Based in Eora/Sydney, you may have caught Reenie on the airwaves hosting Sunset with Motorik on FBI Radio, behind a drum kit being a human 808 or behind the counter, serving sounds at The Record Store in Surry Hills. Having brought her classical percussion skills to music curation, Reenie has a talent for blending the eccentric and eclectic into a cosmic journey through sound. She has an expansive passion for body moving music, with the record collection to match.

She is a dedicated contributor to the Sydney music scene with her deep-seated appreciation of music leaving an imprint on any audience. Her sets are uniquely blended, often doused with expansive percussion, cosmic synths and a sharp drive. Reenie’s energy and passion are contagious and with forthcoming releases lined up for 2023, she's ready to keep you on your toes and opening Shazam.

PREMIERE: Reenie - Quantum Entanglement [Air Signs Music]

Cotenius X is the duo that stops making sense. It’s an exploratory improvisational project of the Ukrainian sound artist Daria Redkina and the Russian experimental vocalist Varya Pavlova aka Lisokot. Improvising together since 2017 they incorporate folk, electronic and musique concrète elements into their spontaneous compositions. Their theatrical performances involve impersonation or adoption of different characters and are informed by social, historical, and site-specific narratives.

Both Redkina and Pavlova work with loops, synths and effects, reshaping various samples into novel forms. “Oceans In Flames”, for example, evokes a slowly evolving sound field that sprouts, collapses and decays under flickering fluorescent bulbs. The effect is not dissimilar to the epic catastrophic landscape paintings, but remixed for our own AI-saturated end times.

Most of the tracks on Plastic Bag are recordings of live shows. “Burunduk” is taken from the duo’s first ever performance and sees Pavlova impersonating animal spirits – forest sprites and haunted chipmunks abound. Meanwhile “Fukushima Tuna” and the album’s title track employ the talents of avant-garde saxophonist Sergey Letov who sows seeds of optimism onto the scorched plastic soil...

Early electrifying glimpses, back in 2013, of the in-progress dance sound the duo will dub “Club Wave”, a heady mix of electro club, new wave melodies and dark, deviant and hypnotic disco grooves, shimmer in You Man’s debut EP "Restless" – and its lead track "Birdcage" – released through the now defunct Alpage Records, as well as launched the career of French duo Tepat Huleux and Giac Di Falco, kickstarting a decade of stunning live shows played all around the globe and acclaimed releases and remixes on labels such as Tronik Youth’s NEIN, Boston Bun’s Circa’99 and Eskimo Recordings.

With its chugging 109 bpm beat and a melody that switches from throbbing minimalism to something tantalisingly close to a full-on Ibiza sunrise moment, the EP’s lead track "Birdcage" has never strayed too far from discerning DJs' record bags but across several new versions here we get to see it reinterpreted in thrilling new ways.

Parisian eclectic electronic producer and Mille Feuilles Label head Roman Delahaye, aka Molecule (@moleculesound), reworks “Restless” into an 8-minute mesmerizing burner, set on a hypnotic bouncy foundation of relentless thumping kicks and buzz saw pulses that rise into a heady swirling, droning vortex where rousing primal effects and dissociative voice clips take hold, evoking a sense of paranoia and restlessness before a steady stream of splattering hard-hitting snare beats seems to come to the forefront, leading the listener out of the chaotic trance into uncharted realms of slow consuming emotive anguish and inner turmoil.
