It’s been a while since we last uploaded a Vacanza Radio since the whole crew was busy at @tarmacfestival. Now that we are back we’d like to share a mix by @laranovae who recently played a b2b at this years Tanzstelle with RN86

In 2017 nøvae stood the first time behind a small DJ booth in a bar in Lübeck. From this point her enthusiasm was sparked to play electronic music by herself. One year later she moved to Leipzig where she founded the muy bien collective with some friends. Since 2020 she is part of the Brotfabrik Crew and since 2022 part of the Seven Sins kinky party series in Berlin. She has already taken part in festivals like Wilwarin or Nation of Gondwana and has played in popular Clubs like Klunkerkranich in Berlin or Mjut, Elipamanoke and Westhafen in Leipzig. Characteristic is a melodic progressive style with some indie dance sounds. But depending on the evening it’s also possible to hear a classic disco track.

This month's episode is by Rotterdam-based artist Alberta Balsam, which delivers a 90min eclectic trip of IDM, throbbing electro, fuzzy acid and sci-fi sounds.

Spiraling through the space-time continuum, Alberta Balsam's debut EP was released last December via Dekmantel and fierce breakbeat, IDM and electro crossover.

Her live sets are strictly hardware-based performances, a classic drum machines are layered with intricate harmonies and 303 basslines.
The result is danceable but never abandons her lush and adventurous sound. While primarily focusing on live sets and productions, her DJ sets are characterized by eclectic and bold track selection, ranging from cold hard techno and sharp razor electro to warm and dreamy ambient.
