"This is not our first EP together, but the concept is a little bit different this time. We combined floating strings and minimal drones for a deep atmospheric experience, maybe more minimalist than usual. The workflow is usually that Matyas sends me some analog stems. Christoph Vogel (Ghostloop) about his album: “It’s a collection of nine ambient pieces — soundscapes shaped by personal moments and quiet shifts I experienced over the past year, many of them spent in nature.

I worked with field recordings I captured during that time, letting them carry traces of place and memory. While writing, I also began building my Eurorack modular system, slowly integrating its sounds into the tracks as they took shape.

'Almost Autumn' reflects a quiet cycle of the year — the slow transitions, inner stillness, and changing atmosphere that come with time passing”.

Christoph Vogel, known as Ghostloop (Germany), weaves immersive soundscapes shaped by the serene rhythms of nature. Drawing from the ambient textures of field recordings and grounding them with deep, fluid basslines, his compositions echo the quiet moods of Northern Germany and the Baltic Sea coast. Rooted in a deep sense of place, Ghostloop’s music invites listeners to pause, drift, and sink into gentle, emotive layers of sound.

A heavenly soundscape built with dreamy slowed echoes floating weightless through endless skies.

Heavenly (Dreamy + Slowed)

This album emerges from the rediscovery of an accordion following the loss of a close relative an instrument that had been a constant companion throughout their life, weaving itself into the fabric of childhood memory. At its core lies the recognition that both human and
accordion share the same essential act: breathing.

The accordion becomes a meditation on mortality and memory, its bellows expanding and contracting like "lungs", its air valve releasing pure breath without melody—the raw pneumatic essence of life itself. Every sound originates from this single instrument, largely unprocessed, preserving the intimate relationship between human touch and mechanical response.

It’s an investigation of how an instrument can hold the memory of hands that no longer play it. The mechanical whispers, the subtle articulations of metal and leather and wood become a language of remembrance, breathed rather than spoken.

My take on this was to use glitches or extraneous sounds that crop up in field recordings. These are usually edited out but here I extracted some from a couple of recordings and joined them to form a continuous sequence. After extending this sequence and adding a touch of reverb and delay I combined it with an evolving electronic drone.
