https://soundcloud.com/patriciakaas: It's quite a while since I've recorded a mix reflecting a dancefloor. So this one is definitely a special one. It captures my diverse taste for intellectual and tense electronic music. Filled with old gems as well as recently released psychotic tracks, the mix delivers a melomaniac rollercoaster. Take a dizzy sip!

The music of the Lithuanian producer Gediminas Jakubka, who turns into Patricia on stage, balances between borders. Patricia Kokett blends rave with mysticism, futuristic industrial with shamanic noise, and various reworked voices with hypnotic output. With his 2020 debut album ‘Bizarr’ (12” vinyl) on Dutch Knekelhuis imprint, Patricia Kokett quickly proved his knack for creating transcendental, immersive sonic experiences. 

Following up with touring around Europe’s clubs, the covid period was an existential stop and a deep moment of reflection. In addition to this, Patricia Kokett has finished the third EP entitled ‘Psykhe’, which was released on the ‘Isla to Isla’ label on 12” vinyl in 2023. Psykhe continues to explore his distinct sound, but taking it in a new direction: a step away from the euphoric new age dance floor and into a significantly murkier, more precarious territory.

Explaining his music as ‘trippy techno,’ Patricia Kokett enhances this epithet in highly emotional and wild live sets. The forthcoming live gigs will consist of new music from the upcoming record, filled with the trippy ethos of electronica. DJ sets always contain adventurous and challenging sounds, which lead listeners to uncharted territories.

Gediminas Jakubka also works as a cinema composer and has a couple of movies which has to be noted. ‘Animus Animalis’ by Aiste Zegulyte, released in 2019, and ‘Toxic’ by Saule Bliuvait,e released in 2024. The latter OST was released on a vinyl record and is being qualified as the second full-length album by Gediminas Jakubka/Patricia Kokett.

Neon Glow is Synthbotics’ sonic tribute to a world where machines reflect, respond, and dream.
Across six tracks, including standout remixes by The Exaltics, Skyborg, and The Witness, the
EP explores the emotive possibilities of electro with both analog grit and future-facing finesse.

The journey begins with A Machine with a Soul, a track that pulses with warm circuitry and
melancholic elegance. Skyborg’s remix intensifies the narrative, layering in rugged percussion
and dystopian drive.

On Electronic Harmonics, Synthbotics plays with layered textures and robotic precision, echoing
early electro pioneers. The Witness Remix deconstructs and rebuilds it into a slow-burning,
atmospheric trip wired for night-time tension.

Closing with the shimmering title track Neon Glow, the EP culminates in a swirl of bright synths
and tight basslines. The Exaltics’ remix closes the circle: colder, darker, and charged with raw
machine energy.
From nostalgic synthetic textures to razor-sharp remixes, Neon Glow is a finely tuned electro
release, balancing mind and body, soul and circuit.

Hailing from Raw Culture, Anna Funk Damage returns with his third release on the Roman label, delivering a record as fierce as it is intimate. Tarantola was born out of a winter suspended between contrasting emotions – melancholy, anger, love, confusion – distilled into a sound that transforms personal fragility into collective energy. There’s no pursuit of perfection here, but rather an urgency running through the veins, taking shape across supersonic punk, wave, ambient and industrial.
Each track is an emotional fragment, a bite that leaves its mark: from the electric tension of Vivere Distaccati to the feverish rush of Trasmissione, from the rawness of Decadente to the hypnotic title track Tarantola, which embodies the beating heart of the album. Side B unfolds into more nocturnal and intimate landscapes, from Chiang Mai to the disenchanted sincerity of Lavoro Troppo, closing with a party that carries the bittersweet taste of reality.
