French record label based in Rennes, Vives, run by electronic DJ/producer and Organisme Texture resident, Weever, is going to release on June 15, 2021, the new EP, titled « Des Rêves », by Rennes-based artist and co-owner of Nocturnal Frequencies imprint, MIMMO (one half of N/F/0 @nf0_music with Blurred Boy, and one-third of Depht Mod @depht_mod).

A cinematic, shadowy and sentimental introspective journey, relentlessly propelled by hypnotic skipping rhythmic patterns and swishing clanging swells, smeared by slow melancholic synth spirals of dreamlike breath, to build an emotional crescendo with an enveloping and at times decadently romantic flair, whilst tinkling and dazzling resonant chords, full of restless mystery and helpless pain, reverberate and resonate dramatically over the gloomy dense haze that surrounds haunted disintegrating male vocals wavering in and out of a painfilled disconnected existence, amid ghastly, inaudible whispers and nightmarish memories, inescapably cloaked in a dark and daunting fatal dance of death.

MIMMO's "Des Rêves" EP is due out, Cassette & Digital, from June 15, 2021, through Vives label Bandcamp.

The Swedish duo Harlem, formed by Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge, is a long-lived project in constant evolution, as their musical heritage is due to diverse musical genres such as electro, minimal, techno, dub, and more recently new beat, industrial and EBM.

Harlem debuts on the Italian label Veyl with an album that shows a new update in terms of their style and also a great versatility to generate their works from bordering fields and, at the same time, with such distant sounds.   

Bait, the first cut of the album, exudes rawness, as well as a certain minimalism caused by the simplicity to generate a complete track only with a simple rhythmic base, a bass line with an invariable pattern and a set of several voices. With Juice we can also apply the same guidelines because of its rough sound, however, it is richer in nuances and distances itself more from lo-fi. Target immerses you in a different scenario, with a more elaborate and variable rhythm, just like its melody. 

Sthlm Muscle's sound is totally electronic, as well as brilliant. Spastic Puppy also mixes this kind of textures with vocals, so you are halfway between electro and new beat. Pocket Candy and Night Vision completely change the minimalist model. These last two tracks stand out from the rest for their sonic breadth with heartbreaking synth lines.

In per DJ sets, Susan explores old-school 80s industrial and underground influences with mechanical body beats that stimulate bodies into requisite movement. Per sets incorporate new darkwave, techno body music and industrial rawness, forming a dark and danceable synthesis of old-school meets new.

In per live project Physical Wash, Susan melds the rigid body beat and vocal snarl of HFF with grinding industrial melodies and a brooding atmosphere. Originally conceived in 2017 as an electro side project to compliment per songwriting in HFF, Physical Wash gradually became per main focus.

'From our Future Selves' is Berlin-based label ygam’s first non-profit various artists compilation. This 12-tracks gathering was put together to support the organization 'Friends of the Earth' in their aim at challenging the current model of economic and corporate globalization, while promoting solutions that help to create environmentally sustainable and socially just societies. All proceeds from the album will be donated directly to them. In its drive to raise environmental awareness and inspire togetherness, this compilation also shares a sonic facet only slightly explored by the imprint so far: the dance floor's rhythmical occurrences. Indeed, through their various contributions extending from power electronics and heavy bass deconstructions to dense techno cuts, artists propose a wide variety of approaches to club-oriented music and ways for bodies to engage in cadenced investigations.
