German techno producer Kevin de Vries remixes Trance Wax’s ‘Beul Un Latha’ for Anjunabeats.

A firm favourite on Tale Of Us’s Afterlife label, Kevin has been a regular fixture at Afterlife events across the globe. His previous releases have also landed on Drumcode Records, Cocoon Recordings and Stress Records. In 2019, his remix of Yotto, SØNIN and Laudic’s ‘Hear Me Out’ found a home on Anjunadeep.

Trance Wax is an alias of Belfast-born producer Garry McCartney, also known as Ejeca. Celebrating the music he fell in love with as a teenager, his Trance Wax project began as an anonymous series of vinyl-only bootlegs back in 2015. Garry’s lovingly crafted edits of classics from Yves Deyurter, BT and Mauro Picotto became peak-time anthems for Bicep, Nina Kraviz, Denis Sulta, The Blessed Madonna and Job Jobse to name a few. A BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix followed soon after.

Two Trance Wax edits of Above & Beyond’s much-loved OceanLab project were released on Anjunabeats in 2019, with the debut Trance Wax album following in November 2020.

As one of Holland’s hottest electronic music exports, Bart’s pristinely produced brand of techno finds that rare between forward-thinking creativity and dancefloor sensibility. It’s this unique amalgamation which has led to standout releases via Break New Soil, Cocoon, Drumcode, Tronic and Rejected, while also leading him to remix top international talents Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Joris Voorn, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Nicole Moudaber. Also celebrated as a DJ, the Amsterdam resident often programs a bevy of exclusive music into his sets, perhaps none more famous than his much loved take on ‘Papua New Guinea’ by Future Sound of London. Released in 1991 by the iconic British duo and favoured by a broad selection of electronic music tastemakers, Bart took to reworking the track last year and it quickly became a highlight in his sets and those of his contemporaries, most notably Drumcode boss Adam Beyer. Endless Nothing is an EBM/techno project by Paolo Borella, an Italian artist based in Parma. Datura Inoxia “Toloache” was born as a dancefloor music project since 2022 performed by Christian Cassale, creating obscure atmospheres from Mexico City. Techno-EBM based in dark
rhythms reflecting distorted feelings as love and loneliness, recording vocals and lyrics influenced by post punk.
Masacre is based in a true story : During the year 1968 before the Olympic Games, on July 22, a crowd of students rises their voices against the repression of the Mexican government. During the movement, the Mexican government used police, military and paramilitary forces, killing 400 students in the plaza de las tres culturas in Mexico City, this event is known as “the Tlatelolco massacre”.

(Resiliencia) Resilience is defined as the resistance of human beings to face and resist extreme and traumatic situations. The Valencian people, and many of us who have unfortunately experienced first-hand the devastation of nature in our homes, or in those of our closest relatives, have known the pros and cons of the meaning of resilience.

Industrial Complexx coordinates the release of a compilation album in which different artists and labels collaborate, such as Faith Disciplines, Soil Records, Subsist Records, HC Records, Fill-Lex Records, Unknown Pleasures Records or Banshees Records. The intention of this reference is to raise funds to help the NGO Algemesí Solidari (www.algemesisolidari.org). This is an organisation that acts directly in the towns most affected by the recent floods that hit Valencia.

This compilation will be active until this situation is resolved and the NGO, or any other, no longer needs any kind of financial support for this cause. It is an album that compiles a large amount of tracks, and with styles ranging from industrial to experimental, electronica, EBM, power electronics, dark ambient, post-punk, cold wave, dark wave...

As a Valencian project, like many of those who have contributed to this release, we feel deeply overwhelmed by all the expressions of affection received and by the willingness of many artists to support this cause, and we feel the need to help our fellow countrymen as much as possible.
