Sounds From NoWhere is pleased to premiere a new Rhys Fulber' gem on 'FR Recordings'.
Rhys Fulber is a Canadian electronic musician and producer best known for his lengthy (and ongoing) tenure with industrial standard bearers Front Line Assembly and ambient pop exponents Delerium (both with Bill Leeb), his solo project Conjure One, plus four recent albums released under his own name. 
As a producer, he has worked extensively with established metal acts such as Fear Factory and Paradise Lost, as well as the industrial hardcore act Youth Code.

For ‘Brutal Nature‘, the lockdowns caused by the global pandemic enabled a more sharply focused period of writing and composition. 
Utilising a smaller home set-up rather than Fulber‘s usual preferred studio made for an engaged environ- ment and the creation of a greater number of intimate compositions to sit along- side club and night culture influenced tracks that have tended to dominate his previous releases for the Sonic Groove label. 
This time around, shimmering ambient textures and floating voices add light to pulsating technoid rhythms, while a curveball is thrown in at the end in the form of the EBM-ish ‚Stare At The Sun‘, which features a guest vocal from Sara Taylor of the aforementioned Youth Code.

Relocating halfway through the writing process from Los Angeles to a small town on the coast outside his original home city of Vancouver provided additional inspiration via the quietly unfolding power of nature. 
Here is where the album concept was born; the contrast between Brutalist architecture and nature, the legacy of humanity in conjunction with nature and its juxtaposition thereof, and the power and variation of the ocean becoming the ultimate judge.

French label Sharped Records has discovered a new artist with a great ability to design a style that rides between techno and EBM. This producer is called Nuel, this is his first release and his motto is not to follow the herd, but to explore the infinite possibilities that music offers you. Like the label itself, I think that more and more of us think that originality and enjoying what you do is the most important thing to have a healthy music scene, in which each musician or user can feel free to adopt their own criteria.

Uncultured is a title that can perfectly suggest this relationship that many believe exists between quality and success. Success is mostly subordinated to the standards demanded by the market, but it doesn't have to be a quality product, and this is something that happens very often nowadays, as marketing campaigns are the ones that define what the public should consume. 

This 6-track album features 4 original tracks and two covers by The Undertaker's Tapes and WhyAml. The album shows the skill of this artist to impose a hard character, with a strong punch, imposing bass lines and diverse influences from genres such as psytrance, from which he rescues the hypnotism and some textures that remind us of goa.

"Flucht” comes off his latest EP on Berlin's Orden, which includes 3 original tracks and a hammering body techno remix by French artist TERMINATION 800. The EP "VERFALL” finds Johannes floating through a wintry, melancholic sonic realm, marked by icy-cold synths, powerful bass lines and his fervent vocals, with layers of early 80’s landscapes recalling the most radiant pathways of pop-danceability. The new release bears witness to his very own film noir score, orchestrated in sonic reminiscences of Falco, treating us with his muscular and vibrant EBM imprint.
