Words and their origins are interesting to me… the way we take for granted common words…. I was thinking about the word “transparency”, and all of the sudden I “saw” “Trans  parents  see”... and knew it would be a song… finally able to make a statement about the issues of transgender and varying gender-identity folks especially here in NC, after the “bathroom bill”...  wanting so much to recognize our own inherent beauty as individuals that is only enhanced by our unique expression of the light we all share.	And knowing that the parents of those of us struggling with identity issues, especially gender +/or sexuality, do see the truth, and have their hearts cracked wide open because of it.

Anyone know the joys of joint custody? I realized that around the time I had to say goodbye to my boys for another two weeks, I felt this complex of emotions, urges to "get everything in" with them since I wouldn't see them for (to a mom) so long...yet over the years since the divorce, their dad and I have moved on, sharing holidays, birthday parties, and creating a Modern Family.
