Hailing from Australia's music capital, Melbourne, Chachi is a quirky, solo artist taking on the music scene. With her unique mix of soul, new folk and indie-pop, Chachi continually pushes the boundaries, questioning genres and drawing from a vast array of influences, such as Kimbra, City & Colour and Ella Fitzgerald. In the lead up to her debut EP, 'Happy Daze' (due for release in May/June of 2014), Chachi has been creating a buzz throughout the Melbourne music scene, playing popular venues such as The Corner Hotel, Espy, Revolver and Brunswick Hotel, whilst continuing a weekly residency at The Gin Mill in Prahran. Beginning her career back in 2008, Chachi began posting YouTube covers at the age of sixteen. Constantly growing and building her skills, she began to grow a larger following, both nationally and around the globe. With fans from Australia to as far away as the Faroe Islands, Chachi began performing at live venues and events at age nineteen.

It was in 2012, when Chachi began to study her Bachelor of Music at JMC Academy, that her career really began to take off. Performing in bands, as well as playing more solo shows around Melbourne and country Victoria, her music and fan base grew to an all time high. With her skills being honed with study, Chachi became more and more confident in her musical ability, performing in front of the likes of Jade MaCrae, Evan Tweedie (Husky), Josh Jones (Gossling, Dan Sultan) and Cory Blight (Dukes of Windsor) throughout 2013/2014.

However, it was in March of 2013, when Chachi posted a cover of Melbourne band Woodlock's song 'Lemons', that her popularity sky-rocketed. Not only was the video seen by thousands of YouTubers, but was personally approved and shared by Woodlock themselves. Following this release, Chachi began to book gigs at venues around Melbourne such as The Espy, Revolver, Brunswick Hotel and The Corner Hotel. Similarly, another cover, not long after 'Lemons', of James Arthur's cover of the song 'Young' by Tulisa, alongside long-term friend and guitarist, Shaun Pickett, came another wave of fans and accolades.

It was after many shows, and a growing fan-base crying out for a release, Chachi began recording her debut EP. Due for release in May/June of 2014, 'Happy Daze' is a taste of the kind of music Chachi has been creating in the past year, especially the past six months. Comprising of songs that reflect her life, as well as the lives around her, 'Happy Daze' is a collection of tracks that exemplifies the kind of artist Chachi is, and her continual musical growth. Finishing her Bachelor of Music in September, Chachi hopes to release her debut album in 2015, along-side a string of shows and festival slots.

It's been a long process for Chachi, but she's definitely one to look out for, and let's be honest, you won't want to miss her.
