Hi my name is DJ Keegy. I am 10 years old and my hobbies are sports and DJ and playing. I live in upstate NY, in Webster, NY. My favorite city is NYC. My dad grew up in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. He married my mom in America but they met in Jamaica when they both worked at the same school. So my other home is in Jamaica. 

I’m a 4th grader. I have one sister who is 8 years old. My dad got me interested in playing music. We started off on virtual DJ playing on the laptop. We started by mixing techno and some hip hop. After a while my hands got tired of using the mouse to mix so my dad got me a DJ mixer which made it way better. We taught ourselves to use it by watching youtube and messing around until we figured it out.

My mix, “Afro Beat” was done by me while having some fun in my basement with my dad. I love Afro Beats because the rhythm has a Caribbean flow with a strong accent and that could be similar to the Caribbean islands where my dad is from.
