At Staind's Oct. 8 show, Aaron Lewis didn’t just introduce 'Outside'—he exposed a much uglier side. Mid-set, he dropped a crude, misogynistic remark about how women succeed. For a guy who made a career singing about pain and isolation, he sure seems to take pleasure in tearing others down. This isn’t rock ‘n’ roll rebellion; it’s outdated bitterness. Maybe next time, he’ll let the music speak and leave the cheap shots outside.
