Hailing from the vibrant streets of Westside Detroit, Jerald Rydell Johns Jr., known by his stage name Jay Beretta, is a lyricist whose roots run deep in the fabric of hip hop culture. At 32 years old, JB — as he's affectionately dubbed by close friends and affiliates — has cultivated a unique sound and perspective that pays homage to the influences surrounding him from a young age.
Born and raised on the iconic Seven Mile Road, Beretta’s upbringing was steeped in music.
