We are stoked to welcome British born, Boorloo residing Patrick Little AKA Shari-Vari Records for the seventh instalment of our ONOMIX series. 

Having moved over to our sunny shores a few years back, Patrick has lived and played records around London. Spinning at revered listening bars such as Brilliant Corners and was a mainstay presenter on the globally loved internet radio station NTS. Patrick now owns and operates Shari-Vari Records in the beautiful State Treasury Buildings at the heart of the CBD where you can find an incredible array of esoteric records of all flavours, hand curated by Patrick himself.

Patrick displays his breadth of taste in his beautiful ONOMIX here, spinning folk and outsider rock rarities. The perfect mix to sooth your soul post silly season madness. So recline, unwind, listen and enjoy!

Nicely nestled amongst Sammy Dee, Moopie & Magda Bytnerowicz, I was asked to replace Grandmaster Zip (Perlon) for the party hosted by Lifeworld & Spincycle. I warmed up for Sammy Dee, and this is what that sounded like.

Well, it’s been a little while (350,400 minutes to be exact) since we last caught up. Life has its way of throwing curveballs, but here we are. And today, we’re diving into the musical world of Marli—Melbourne-born, Paris-based, feet-stomper, head-bopper, and all-around magical force who’s perfected the art of the irresistible thump.

Over the past few years, Marli’s star has undoubtedly risen, and it’s been an absolute joy to witness. Her journey is nothing short of inspiring, earned through sheer hard work and dedication.

Now, let’s talk about this mix. Marli has absolutely crushed it. She’s given us a glimpse into the creative depths of her mind, stepping away from the typical dancefloor energy and exploring the broader spectrum of sound. The mix is a quixotic, romantic fever dream, woven together with off-kilter rhythms, ethereal alt-R’n’B, mind-bending ambience, and world-spanning soundscapes. DJ Earl Grey & Steve have been hosting a monthly Wednesday date-night residency for over a year, sharing the sensitive, soulful, and deep cuts from their record collection. Their shared love for each other - as well as jazz, soul, ambient, and rock - forms the foundation of their Waxflower mix.

This year, they launched Tender, a 'third space' offering yoga classes, deep listening sessions, movie screenings, exhibitions, workshops, and Naarm’s smallest record store.

This is the result of that curiosity :)
