One half of Albrecht La’Brooy and co-founder of Analogue Attic, Sean La’Brooy’, delivers his debut solo album ‘Out Moving Windows’ this October.

Currently based in New York, La'Brooy presents an emotional and contemplative record that leans on acoustic instrumentation, drawing on collaborations with a range of New York and Melbourne based jazz musicians, and a remix from Other Joe. Those familiar with the nine records released under Albrecht La'Brooy will recognise the expressive piano and synth lines that feature. Here, the piano Jazz and Improvisation graduate creates space for long-form solos from himself and featuring instrumentalists.

True to what we expect from the ever-maturing Analogue Attic, this is a listening album; orchestrated pads with dance-leaning rhythms meet piano chords, guitar and brass melodies. Arranged with the idea of the contemplative state experienced during a solo commute, as the name Out Moving Windows alludes to.

This debut offers the artist a new direction, connected to feelings of an intangible warmth, where empty urban expanse and latent stillness meets a Mediterranean azure of sky and sea, oscillating, ethereal.

C-thru - The Otherworld is a collection of introspective cosmic-leaning dance music that gives a healthy nod to the golden era of trance, ambient, and down-tempo from Austin, Texas based producer Jesse Edwards. Inactive for several years, these 10 tracks mark a new chapter for Jesse Edwards. Previous works include his well received psychedelic project, Red Morning Chorus, that included Boards of Canada amongst its fans. Edwards began his musical journey in the late 90s playing shoegaze and experimental music with Jessica Bailiff (Kranky). The pair collaborated on several albums together including works with Flying Saucer Attack, His Name is Alive, & Odd Nosdam (Anticon). 

The Otherworld will receive a physical release later this spring via a limited edition cassette tape and will be available worldwide digitally on June 2, 2023. Additionally under the pseudonym, Giovanni Bellofatto, Edwards has an album on the horizon with Dan Gentile (Time Zones) as Bellofatto & Gentile. Due on Prins Thomas's Horisontal Mambo, the dreamy balearic full length debut features collaboration with electronic music pioneer John Beltran on a handful of tracks and will surely be one to look out for. Drifting Off

The forest offered an escape, it was their favourite place to frequent to help free their mind from troubles. Everything seemed to have a calming effect: the soft flow of the stream, the green leaves rustling in the light wind, sounding something like a distant flute meandering through the trees. Everybody needed a place like this. Here, merriment was free and it was unlimited...

After putting together a hefty V/A compilation in aid of bushfire relief earlier this year, Sydney-based label Moonshoe return for something a little more bitesize - a debut EP from local artist COUSIN. A refined first release, the four tracks explore heady and psychedelic realms, bringing together organic dubwise rhythms and hypnotic subs that give us a sublime introduction to the world of COUSIN.
