I feel super inspired as I am basically constantly mixing records at the moment and when I listen back to my mixes I am like: that’s right, that’s exactly what I was trying to do. Congrats Marcel, you are a DJ. Eventually I ll write an essay or a book or a documentary, I have so many thoughts and emotions surrounding that topic. Referenced in Daft Punk’s song ‘Teachers’ as one of the ‘Teachers’, Ashley Beedle first began DJing during the 1980s and made a name for himself during the heyday of Acid House, changing the face of Notting Hill Carnival as part of the legendary Shock Sound System – the first sound to play House music at Carnival. 

Since 2015, Ashley has been working as part of the 'North Street West' remix collective with North Street Studio One owner and musical genius, Darren Morris and Ramrock Records/F*CLR boss, Jo Wallace. As well as solo remixes, 2022 already has a plethora of projects underway including the 30 year anniversary and reunion of the legendary Black Science Orchestra – watch this space….

20 years ago i found myself thrown together into a group of strangers that came together to save Berlin's nightlife. I remember when Delfonic looked at me after a passionate excursion and said: Marcel, sag doch auch mal was. I said that I disagreed with everything and why dont we do it the opposite and thus our friendship was born. 
Whatever we were trying that day, it failed. But shortly after we got together with Noema, Tinko, Delfonic and myself to form One Soul, a party who's claim to fame became booking the legendary Roberta Sweed. Markus moved on to partner on Berlin's OYE records until a few years ago.
Kapote aka MUNK aka Modica aka Former Gomma affiliate, head of Toy Tonics (cue up my remix for Phenomenal Handcalp Band), DJ, organizer, visionary, pianist, jazzer, father figure to a generation of Berlin centric DJ's and producers.
